(2) I am considering a SA DEP for use with my Manta, perhaps an eventual Hub and other SA pedals, but also my some of my current pedals. Those include some Eventide units (which use 25k mono, but stereo also works), Line6 (10k mono), and Behringer BSY600 (stereo...50k I think?). For right now, I'm using an Ernie Ball VP Jr. 25k on one Eventide, a this1smyne 25k stereo expression knob on the other Eventide, nothing on the Line6, and a Yamaha FC-7 on the Behringer. My Manta is only connected to my HH3. I'm wondering if the SA DEP can help me consolidate (in particular, the FC-7 is off-board). The problem that I see, of course, is that even if it works with each of these pedals, I would need to adjust the pedal when switching between them. I will take advice/experience on using the SA DEP with any of these pedals, in addition to any general advice about how I might use it to simplify my setup.

Okay, after doing some of my own dang research on this one, I think I understand this and would like to confirm it. I knew the DEP had an attenuator, but I now see it appears to only affect Output 2? Am I correct about this? If so, I think I could use it with the Behringer (Output 1, full range, 50k) and an Eventide (Output 2, range rolled back to approximate 25k, even though Eventide says mono it seems to work with TRS as well). Opinions and experience still welcome.

Hey guys, I have a few questions here about the Dual Expression Pedal.

(1) I know people in the past have expressed concern that when you remove the rubber feet, the screws are too long and get in the way of a flush attachment to the pedalboard. At one point Roger had mentioned the possibility of shipping it with shorter screws...has anything happened on this front? Is it still an issue? Has SA made a move on this?

This is the start of my build. Hope to be done within two days. Waiting on the midi Moose and Manta. Added some more pics. Designing as I go along lol!

I mean, i saw the demos, but is there something more about the parameters and different settings?!

So!!!!! it's here .... my Manta and Hub have arrived, had to re organise the board, love it!!

i was going crazy with the Hub's and pedalpalette's user guide to understand hot to use the midi (my first ever midi experience)

just as I was planing to burn the whole pedalboard , i tested the MIDI input omni Mode

it's such a great think , don't need to remember present numbers for SA individually ...
to each preset on the PP, if i use any or both of the SB2 , I just save the "scene" and voila ...

not I need to learn how to dial in some sounds on the Manta....

Must say, the SA pedals are great, but i will never test one live before spending a bunch of hours at home with it

it's great !!!!!!!

it just opened up so many options!!!!
it's giving me all the looper options mixed with the MIDI controler, plus i have both SB@ on the same loop because the MIDI decides for them which one is off/on
now i can actually use the Orbital MOD for Flager and Phaser and Chorus ..
and it only took me a couple of hours to understand it !! heheheheheheheheheeh

After playing around with the Manta for half a day, I must say that although it is nice to have the distortion built in, i really think it sounds better with Your Doom...

Did you make sure that on the type of distortion you had the fuzz selected?

Roger, THANK YOU for posting this. It caused a MAJOR light bulb for me with regard to the HH3. It's downright embarrassing considering my degree and day job (so I won't get into that here ), but it never occurred to me how gravity should affect the accelerometer. This simple realization, combined with Jesse's example of how you can "passively" allow gravity to affect the HH3, had a profound effect on a brief personal practice session I had with the HH3 and Manta. It suddenly felt far more natural and responsive. I now need to give this thing another whirl on some of my other pedals.

Just ordered my second Bass OFD -- those things are just too damn good! Now I'll have one to pair up with the Manta on my "jazzrock board" as well as the one next to the Dimension on my "post-rock board".

Now, I seem to recall this being mentioned once upon a time, but I can't find it through a simple search: Would it be possible to modify a generic expression pedal (Moog EP-2 specifically) to be used with the Soundblox 2 sensor inputs? I'm thinking it should be possible to replace the regular jack with one of these, for instance, but I would need to know what signal goes on each pole of the plug... Or would this not work at all?

Things like using the OFD as a volume pedal for some songs (with an exp pedal), dirt with different output volumes for different stage environments that I play frequently, multiple fuzz flavors for different songs, etc...

So much show gazing... I gotta make sure I keep my head in the music!!!

Yes, there was talk about it....and we did some experiments. It does not work correctly. Sorry.

Since Roger said you can't do this, your alternative would be to buy the HUB and use the expression input with your Moog EP-2. That's what I intend to do.
