Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

"Although a definitive answer would of course require further measurements, published species-wide averages of wing length and body mass, initial Strouhal estimates based on those averages and cross-species comparisons, the Lund wind tunnel study of birds flying at a range of speeds, and revised Strouhal numbers based on that study all lead me to estimate that the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour."

Someone had way too much time on their hands :roflmao::laugh:

One Series modulation question: If I were to burn a different pedals information to one of the toggle positions, for example, a Mercury sound to a Lunar toggle, does the bottom right knob now control the delay time or the wave shape of the Mercury sound? If so, can I change that via some sort of knob assign? Sorry if this is a repeat question...digging through 282 pages is just not efficient. Thanks in advance.

I had the exact same question. The answer is: the hardware knobs keep their original functions, even if an engine from other pedal is loaded. So it actually matters which modulation pedal you choose to buy, as you will be stuck with those hardware knobs.

Sweet. Thanks for the answer and the reference to back it up!

Will soleman allow me to use 2 separate settings on 1 pedal at same time? For example if i wanted to blend 2 delays from nemisis or 2 effects from mobius
Just so I am clear, you are wondering if the Soleman can make one single Nemesis act like 2 Nemesis pedals? For instance, one would be doing a tape delay at the same time as a second one was doing a pitch shifted delay. No, this is not possible for Nemesis, Mobius or any other non-dual effect.

The exceptions would be real dual effects such as:
  • Source Audio Aftershock Bass Distortion
  • Empress Echosystem Delay (very new)
  • Source Audio Ventris Reverb (not out yet)

Is this possible due to dual engines in the pedals?

I was having a problem getting the Neuro app to communicate with my One Series pedals. Tried updating the firmware, all the usual troubleshooting techniques. It was weird because it had been working normally until a few days ago. I was all set to ask for help when I realized the volume on my phone's headphone jack was turned way down. Problem solved.

It's odd to feel simultaneously good for figuring something out on my own and stupid because it took me three days.

Received aftershock in mail today (thanks @nathannavarro) as well as a soleman/hub i picked up here in the classifieds. Haven't used the hub/soleman yet but ive been extremely impressed with nemisis and aftershock. Looking forward to ventris. I'll be your poster boy S.A.. Keep up the great work:thumbsup:
Small companies trying to be innovative and taking risks need poster boys everyday. THANKS!! :)

You guys ever thought about a Looper or a way to make nemisis capable of looping?
Nemesis has a very intuitive interface on the top panel. With a limited set of knobs and no menu diving, you can do lots and lots of stuff. I believe the combination of small size, wide range of sounds, and simple interface are making the Nemesis a classic pedal. It is in the process of surpassing the BEF Pro as our all time number one.
Loopers need a different interface than a delay pedal. Adding a looper to Nemesis would have ruined the beauty of its interface. In our view, a looper is best located in a separate pedal with an optimized looper interface. We will likely do a looper someday, and it will have a killer interface!
