Would that actually work? Seems like if you routed it that way, if you add any pitchshifted or shimmery sounds that it would be read by the C4 as polyphony. I haven't found a dedicated use for output 2 yet. Right now, since I've only been messing with it at home, I have output 1 going to other pedals and then my effects amp, and output 2 is going straight into my PreSonus recording interface, which also has the XLR out of my amp. My buddy and I were wondering if it acted as a normal stereo in/out, if so, I would likely put my Platform Compressor right after it and send the stereo signal in there, and possibly run a split signal, but likely not.

To Mr Smith, it's a small point, but wish the unit had come with the manual instead of finding it and downloading it. The little card is not as clear in how to do things as I think SA meant it to be. For instance, I can't figure out how to get the Alt button to actually go back to presets 1-3 after I switch it to 4-6, it stays lit red, holding down the button doesn't change it, holding it and toggling the switch doesn't do it, nor pressing it and toggling. I have to use the desktop editor to go back to those by clicking on them in the editor. That's not going to work well in a live situation.

No. I think you can actually go into the editor or the app and switch what the ins and outs do. I think....

I know, but then I would have to buy something else to fill that whole, and I'm flat ass broke!!!!
Seriously though, I just love the Manta so much that I feel like it allows me two less presets to have to toggle to on the C4. Best Filter ever!

I totally get that. I'm finding the Aftershock could probably fill a few roles for me dirt-wise but I still am going to keep my main OD, rat and X7 onboard as these are pretty unique and the rat and MBD fill huge roles in my sound 80% of the time. The AS has already knocked off the DOD Carcosa though and will fill that role as well as a muff or any other fuzz. That's what I mainly want to use it for. But man can it do a lot! But I, like you, will be using it for more specific things. Same as the C4. Although the C4 will be filling a lot of roles within a small role of my overall setup. If that makes sense!

Makes sense to me! I still have 3 other dedicated dirt and fuzz on my board with the AS. Programmable EQ is kind of a big deal too.

I've owned every single SA One Series pedal, and frankly the Aftershock was the only one that didn't gel for me out of the box. However, as I explore the Neuro app, I think that because I was such an early adapter I didn't wait in time to have more robust community presets because i'm too much of a dummy to make my own. Might have to give it a second try now that I'm more MIDI savvy.

I loved the chorus and phaser but ended up needing very specific sounds that couldn't be covered with the swiss army knife of fun sounds the Gemini & Lunar could provide. I just don't use tremolo enough, but the Vertigo is dope as hell.

As an update, I got the DMC Micro to update. I brought it to work, and did it on a Mac. Way easier than on my POS Windows based comp. This video helped a lot also!

However, as I explore the Neuro app, I think that because I was such an early adapter I didn't wait in time to have more robust community presets because i'm too much of a dummy to make my own. I can’t say I was overly impressed with the aftershock out of the box either. But once I started messing with it, it’s all that it promises and more. You just have to know how to dial it in. I’m still learning a lot still too though.

Spectrum release is today.

The Dual Exp has a small SA Jack for direct use with C4 and 2 1/4 jacks for others stuff. Reflex has all of that and much more.

The Reflex is the better option...but verging on the Unobtainium scarcity. Here in the uk....unicorn dust is more common. You might have more luck S/H State side....new....good luck with that.

Sorry, I was really busy when this conversation happened.
There is one routing option in the C4 and spectrum that you cannot do using the resources in the editor: PRE EFFECT LOOP. This is useful for adding a non-midi or non-SA pedal to your system and be able to switch it on and off using MIDI and/or the Hub.
Inserting effect into a C4 or Spectrum loop (including the most important one of all, the SIDE CHAIN), can be done using the voices, panning, and the input 2 and output 2. This preset here is what Nathan set up for a tradition side chain. In this case, the clean signal goes into the C4 and out again. The effects loop then sends the wet signal back into the C4. The envelope is triggered off of the dry signal and the filters work on the wet signal. Perhaps we should have made a special routing mode, but it is really easy to do this using a preset.

Yes, the little card does not cover everything we need to cover. We tried to make ALT mode really logical and easy to follow. Moving the toggle with or without ALT pushed should change red to green. It does not help that people with previous One Series pedals will get confused by this. Sometimes we try to offer too many modes and too many options...and it gets confusing. The manual, however, should be your guide. Printing them became an insane task. So many pages. Different version histories. different languages. We have thrown out thousands of manuals. The only way to resolve this is electronic. I will say one thing, I have a $1000 pixel phone. The user guides are terrible relative to the C4 manual. Google has thousands of people who are capable of creating a user guides, and they don't even bother!!!

I'm a little confused on two points: are "PRE EFFECT LOOP" and "SIDE CHAIN" the same thing or different?

Secondly, might I ask what the logic is in making this a "hidden" routing option only accessible via preset?
