Wait, so where is the the meatball preset? I found one in the community (Nathan’s) but I wouldn’t say it nailed the meatball underwater quack. I played w it for an hr or so and couldn’t get it to either. I’m no Neuro expert though..

I owned a meatball for many years and have yet to hear a filter do what it does.
Would be so cool if the C4 could get there

That's seems to be the filters to end all filters in most filter lovers eyes.....next to the Meatball haha Those are 2 of the very few I've ever heard touted as "the only filter that matters". But I'm not a huge filter guy. So that should also tell you something.

The Xerograph is powered by a relatively simple Spin DSP chip (at least the one we have is). One way or another, this should not be out of reach.

I loved how people freaked out when they found out the Xero is digital.

If I have a C4 And a Spectrum and want to Midi Control them both with a Disaster Area controller is there any way I can do this with one controller without having to switch the USB cable or do I need a hub? And yes I am a Midiot. But I am slowly learning I am also an old fart so bear with me.

I'm gonna guess that you'll need the Hub. I don't think there's a away to daisy chain the USB ports

Yes. Plug C4 into DMC via usb, then buy a disaster area micro.ghost (comes out in September) and plug spectrum into that. Connect ghost DIN input to DMC DIN output. Both will now be controllable via the DMC.

Someone would have to experiment, but maybe DMC gHost USB to one of the pedals and then connect the two together with their 1/8" TRRS ports?

Micro Ghost is like a MIDI to USB midi converter. Should be really handy for C4 users who have a midi controller already, but don't want a Hub.

Chace90 That is what I hope works using the TRRS cable between the two of them and not having to buy another controller. If I need a hub then that is fine I can get one but I am MIDI Illiterate so using a hub can be tricky for me. I had one before and could never figure out how to get it to work .

Sure. You take a DMC controller product with one USB port and connect that to one C4, then go standard MIDI out to the midi port and use the little box they are coming out with to go midi to midi USB and then to C4 #2.

I just looked at the MIDI gHOST and it has one USB out so still the same problem . I have a USB to Mini USB gHOST cable already to use with the C4.

There are 23 filter types in Spectrum. The descriptions and curves are now in the manual. You can combine 2 of them at a time to create unlimited filter types. I suspect none of you thought about that!! There is massive envelope options too.

No. You can't use a USB hub with DMC controllers. You need a computer.

Still 2 devices though. Which is really the same as a Hub and a controller. So it looks like he'd need 2 no matter what. I'd personally go with the Hub myself since it allows for adding other SA devices down the line.

I have a Disaster area controller so That connects to one pedal and then use the 5 pin MIDI out of the controller to the MIDI in of the Ghost pedal then USB out of that into the the other pedal. I am MIDI Illiterate and had difficulties with the hub the last time I had one . I could never figure out how to get things to function with it so it went away.

Seems so. A new SA Hub is not much more expensive than the DMC micro.ghost that's coming out. I'd go that route myself, especially since you could probably get a Hub used for even cheaper.
