duuuuueee that would be AMAZING. A bass preamp with ALL THESE CAPABILITIES?!?! uuuuuuhhhh yes please....

If SA did a bass preamp they would easily have every member's eyes on them. Even peeps satisfied with their own setups would have to take a look guaranteed.

I've always believed an Aftershock expanded and rehoused in a Ventris enclosure would be massive.

Split the parametric EQ section so each channel has its own.
Do all the XLR/Headphone Jack/Parallel Output/FX Loop i/o people already love.
"LoRetain" blend.
HPF/LPF section.

Money.

They already have the tools in their drawer to make something like this but I know SA likes to do things that aren't such popular ideas, and preamp boxes are definitely popular.

Yeah, I get that. And I respect it. But I still want it! haha Just like Darkglass, I wish they'd make like a cool trem or a bad a$$ filter or something like that. But they are like SA in that way, if there is already a market saturation wherever, they go the other way.

Wow...is the C4's OC-2 emulation THAT good?

I pretty much had one standard setting on my T-65 that I always used. This whole multi-voice editor thing is pretty new to me (I'm no synth expert), but it took me all of about 10 minutes to create a preset for a really simple great octave sound that matched what I was using.

I have the Aftershock and am really just getting in to the desktop app for it now. I noticed that it has a HPF, LPF, and a parametric EQ.

My question is, with those features built in to the pedal. Is there really any need for a dedicated pedal to each of those features?

There are/were so many HPF threads. And I have seen a few EQ threads. But to my (maybe I am misunderstanding) that this one pedal does it all.

I set up a clean tone toggle with out any fuzz or distortion just to have those features available and to me they seem to do the work of several pedals all in one

Am I wrong?

Got to. Because they actually listen and respond to their customer/user base. Not saying they're the only ones. There are a number of companies who do. But really, the ones that come to mind when I think of companies that actually listen to forum and customer feedback the most and we actually see implementations of all that put into their products are SA and Line 6. Not knocking any other brand out there. But when I think of the companies that would actually add something to their existing gear via a forum comment, SA and L6 are the ones that ring in my brain the most. It's plain awesome. You actually feel like you're helping shape the products you're using on a large scale. Like the community presets even and so forth. But I also know that working with digital hardware or whatever call it helps a lot too.

It just depends on how you want to utilize it. If you just want to use the AS as an HPF/LPF, you can. But I would think that most want it for more. And I'm no expert on the editor, or HPF/LPF's, but having a single analogue pedal for that purpose may be better for some. I know I have an HPF on at all times at the very end of my board and I still have the AS and use some of the filtering functions on it when building a preset. So it just depends. Plus I know all those stand alone filters have very drastic slopes and shelves.....so it just depends on how you want to use them.

This feature is something I have been an advocate for ever since I bought the Aftershock. I too am unsure if there's something more that I'm missing. Having Para EQ and HPF/LPF as programmable presets, to me, is already a selling point for this pedal before you get to the drive engines. They're very easy to adjust in the moment if you hook up your phone.
If these features were in an analog pedal it would be gigantic and way more expensive for reasons unknown.

I would almost buy another AS just to use it for these abilities. Just like your sig haha "Have I mentioned my Aftershock yet?"

You could have 3 AS's on your board and use them all for completely different things as different tools/utilities. That's boss

I set the LFO as "LFO 2 = 4X LFO 1" and the wave shape as square wave, so the high tremolo is running really fast and the low tremolo is just pulsing. Ive also applied an envelope, to both voices, but triggered by the low signal only, to get a volume swell at the front of the signal.

Absolutely beautiful texture with a high passed Space Echo from my RV-500.

I used to really want a tremolo pedal but that need has been sufficiently satisfied.

I've always had a hard time springing for a Tremolo pedal (or a phaser or flanger) for bass. They're fairly limited use pedals and it's hard to justify it for just a song or maybe even the bridge on a song. So some of the pedals that can do a handful of things is great.
