Nope, it's not the cable that came with the pedal. No USB cable was included in the box. I bought it used off Reverb. What was in the box was the 1/4 to 1/8 audio cable. I had to go fishing through my box of junk cables to find a matching USB to fit the pedal and my Mac. I had exactly one such cable. Perhaps it doesn't work? How often does that happen, though. It doesn't appear to be abused or over used.

I think maybe I'm just experiencing a bug in beta software on a new macOS version.

It is likely the USB cable you are using is a charging cable, not a data cable. New ones these days are mostly data. Old ones, who knows? You need to be sure it's a data cable.

I think that last years phone stopped shipping with the adapters. Remembering an article about the death of headphones and how Apple thought the wireless market had matured enough where they didn’t include it. They are about $10 I think...

Apple no longer ships free headphone dongles with new iPhones

I've just updated my Neuro desktop / C4 firmware and Hub software. The in place MSI repair doesn't work on Windows, so I had to remove the old copy and install the new copy. Anyhow....now scenes are working from my Hub and C4. Is there a way I can transfer the patches currently on my C4 directly into scenes on my Hub?

I have to say that I'm still preferring using my Hub as a Midi sender to my C4. It gives me more flexibility with SA pedal stacking if I can select patches on either device separately rather than bundling them into a scene. But other's on a pure SA board would prefer the Scene approach.

couple ways to do this.

First load the scene on the hub you want to use. To be sure, tap the scan button on the hub so that it knows the c4 is there for that scene. Then Either send the cc message that loads the preset or use the pc editor to load the preset (you’ll need to connect the c4 via usb for this as hub won’t be able to directly access the presets over the editor). Then hold the save button on the hub.

This is a variation on what I've been saying. I know the workarounds exist but they are a lot less convenient that just giving us some options in the Hub firmware.

You can use the headphone adapter 1/8" to lightning. Turn the volume on our phone down to about 3/4ths and it will work.

I also have a MPB running Mojave and connecting with USB to adapter for Mac (one of the newer MPB without standard USB ports), and I can definitely use the Neuro app.

Me three. Right now the Hub is acting as a USB midi host for my C4, though I also have a nice new micro-ghost siting here to try too. I do have an Aftershock on the way to try out too though. Since I'm triggering across MIDI pedals that are also non SA as well, I haven't really wanted to use the Hub/Scene thing to de-cluster it with all the other stuff too.

If you're a DMC user, most of which have limited number of MIDI channels to work with the HUB can act as an expander for you buy using the Hub/Scene situation...you can connect a bunch of SA pedals to that one unit and also still use other MIDI pedals on the other channels.

Well, another day another bass track. Used the Mutron III (but tweaked for myself) preset on the C4 for the main slap rhythm, then the one I call Stevie for the backing clav sound (it’s called Synth Bass by Sir Francis), and then The Boogie preset nnavarro made for the whole notes. Lot of slap noodling again over the top- and some mistakes but a damn fine lazy Sunday afternoon.



Had some fun with the FX stuff on GarageBand, can control a filter with my finger!

I'm registered as fivestringgecko on the neuro community as well. Should just be able to look up my user name. More patches to come... still quite a few cover songs to build patches for.

I had a momentary debate about recording audio samples for my patches, but I figured that would take me another week so I just uploaded. Can do the audio later!

Sweet these are great. I got a couple on my primary 3 switch positions now.

Anyone know what the use of the My Library tab is? It seems like you'd want to save a bunch of community-found stuff there and then swap them in and out of your pedal. But there isn't a "burn" icon to be found in that list. Is this just beta incompleteness or am I missing something here?

Yes, you can save your favorites in your library and listen to them in one click. To have more options, including burn, slide the effect to the left. I assume you're talking about the neuro app on the cellphone.
