It's a temporary issue. There was some discussion about it in the Source Audio C4 thread, and the cool cats at SA are aware.

In my experience, all of the spectrum presets are indeed compatible with the c4 but as mentioned above, their is currently a temporary issue which will probably be resolved soon.

I've downloaded several Spectrum presets and used them with the C4, so whatever glitch is going on, it shouldn't be an issue in future. They've said they designed it so that the C4 would have the full spectrum of Spectrum sounds (sorry for the pun), so I can't imagine that would change. It also would compel you to do most tweaking of the patch on the editor, as you will have 2 knobs dedicated to the filter, not 4.

Yes that's what I intend to do. It's just that my first reason for buying the C4 was envelope filters and I quickly burned the Tron spectrum factory filter... only to have to proceed to a factory reset afterwards. The effects are absolutely fantastic. I've always kept away from filters because either they were too complicated to dial to use and/or they did not sound that great, or their usage was too narrow. With the C4 so far I find it very easy, everything work as described, and in no time I was Bootsy or Herbie Hancock with the right presets and knobs value. I'm in love !

Indeed as others have mentioned, all Spectrum presets should be compatible with the C4. Until they get a chance to fix whatever little gremlin is plaguing the system though, you can search specifically for Spectrum presets and load to the C4. :)

Others in this thread can weigh in as well, but I have 6 or 7 Spectrum presets living on my C4 and haven't had that kind of trouble. It might also be worth checking in over in the Source Audio C4 thread and asking the question there as well, as that one is dedicated to the C4 specifically. It might also be worth getting in touch with Source Audio directly, their customer service is great and they might be able to help you troubleshoot.

But I'm also wondering if maybe your situation is related to the little gremlin that makes Spectrum presets not show up in a compatibility search. Is your Spectrum on the latest firmware?

It's a C4 but yes, it's the latest firmware. When I say the pedal is buggy, the filter is applied correctly but selecting another filter with the filter switch won't work, disengaging the pedal doesn't stop the filter etc. I remember reading here or on the C4 thread that burning a Spectrum preset on the C4 second bank did cause trouble but in my experience it just doesn't matter where you put it. I'm going to contact Source Audio, we'll have a reliable answer.

Not sure what you have going on there but I have several Spectrum presets on my C4 as well with no issues, I do however generally have to make some adjustments to my playing style and control assignments for C2 that I always use for output level for any sounds burned.

I have a question regarding the SA aftershock. I use a Palmer PW CT 08 to power all my pedals. I currently use a 9V 500mA max, but I need that out to power another pedal. I thought it needed 300mA min but I read somewhere that it needs 150mA. Could I use one of the other 9V 150mA to power the aftershock?

Taken from the manual - you want at least 9v 180mA

DC 9V (Power) Connect to the included 9 Volt DC power supply. The power supply must be regulated at 9 Volts (direct current), able to source at least 180 mA (milliamps) of current, and the plug should have a tipnegative, sleeve-positive polarity (the center tip is ground and the sleeve is power).

Deleting the ones stored on the C4 won’t delete the ones on the Hub (and vice versa).

Nobody need effects pedals some say.
Balderdash say I.
Making cool sounds just in one's home is well worth the time and resources.

SA pedal #5 likely to be purchased soon based on @rsmith601 's post.

Will it make my playing better? In and of itself, Likely not.
Will I enjoy it? Pretty much absolutely.

As a multi-instrumentalist I can see many uses for the EQ2

Darn you folks at SA! :D
