I’m intrigued by what the other morph sources might be. Hoping envelope and LFO.

I’d guess that the five blocks in the distortion select how many bands there are in whatever distortion engine is selected from the drop down. (In the original pedal there was a rotary dial which selected various single band distortions and then various types of multiband ones.)

Won’t let me edit the original post for some reason, but i ended up getting Neuro Desktop working eventually by Uninstalling, restarting the computer, reinstalling, then restarting the computer again. I had tried all those steps earlier today, but not in that specific order i don’t believe (i’ve also been working from home while trying to troubleshoot, so it didn’t have my full attention). So just in case anyone else runs into something similar, that’s the process That worked for me.

Yes! Big directional communication with the Desktop. Much easier to see where you are and manage presets. Highly recommended.

It could be the title of the pedal. For me, the announcement of a midi assignable fully featured compressor is huge. Add the HPF and LPF, this is also huge. From my reading of the Neuro App panel spoiler, It's a different way to do distortion too (compared to the fantastic Aftershock). It means that we can select which model grit we want to base our sound on, then dial in a very specific EQ (8 bands is very comprehensive), use the HPF and LPF to tweek and then dial in some very specific compression....or run any of these options on their own. If this pedal allows a variety of dirt models (multiwave, gated fuzz, fuzz, overdrive etc) then this pedal becomes an incredibly versatile and customisable dirt pedal. We can literally dial in our own boutique dirt without referring to SA's Aftershock presets. The compressor option alone will kick off my EBS multi Comp off my board.

@movinngruvin has kindly lent me his 3 LEAF AUDIO Chromatron. Been wanting to try one for ages as I used to own a Wonderlove and it was great for putting octave and fuzz in the loop to create synth-like sounds. The Chromatron is even better I feel, as it works much better as a stand-alone envelope-controlled filter than the Wonderlove did.

I put my EMMA electronic Okto Nøjs in the loop and dialled in the following sound:



Movinngruvin asked if I could replicate this on the Source Audio C4. I’ve had a crack and got in the ballpark and have shared the presets on my Neuro feed:

Hope you enjoy them.

I’ll port these onto the Spectrum too, though they won’t be exactly the same. The octave distortions in the Okto Nøjs are slightly gated and I have achieved this on the C4 by assigning an amp envelope to those voices and using the envelope’s gate control; the Spectrum doesn’t have the ability to assign an envelope to the voices so the patches will be a little noisier.

YAAYYYYY!!!! I finally for my C4 to take spectrum presets!!! And I’ve really been enjoying all your patches man!!! Thank you much for sharing and all you contribute to the community. Very cool.

Curious if anyone is having this problem with the Neuro Desktop editor: Regardless of how I quit the Editor, I always get this message the next time I start Neuro Desktop... I have to restart my PC to be able to open the Editor again. A minor thing of course, I'm just curious if anyone else has run into this?

Yep, I’ve had that a few times. I kill it in the task manager and it works fine again without a reboot.
