What do the data channels do in the Neuro hub? I see one in the editor for each pedal connected to the hub, but I can't find any mention of what they do. I assume it's similar to a MIDI channel, but I thought those wouldn't matter since each pedal has its own out.

Also, can I use a regular expression pedal through the sensor input, assuming I have access to a cable that can connect the two?

Bonus pic of the new layout. EQ2 is running both before the Le Bass and right after its effects send. Haven't had much of a chance to play with the Gemini yet but that will come soon.

As far as I’m aware it’s a similar situation to the modulation pedals (Gemini, Lunar, Mercury) in that you can load any of the engines into them but the hardware knobs (and hence what parameters are assignable to external control) are different for each pedal. For instance, Aftershock has a dry signal knob and a tone knob whereas others have no dry and have separate bass and treble controls.

My plan to spend the rest of the week creating Spectrum presets has been scuppered - I’m away and took kit with me but just found that power adapter in the box was Euro not UK. Oops.

Is there a Different Foot switch that will work in the C4 for on and off? I just dropped the pedal and the switch came apart . It looks like some different kind of rig so can it be replaced with a normal switch or do I have to send it back to SA for Repair? Now I am not knocking SA Here just want to see if it can be replaced by a regular switch and if so what type?

I have tried hooking up my expression pedal both via the control input (after calibration) and through my dmc micro (not sure how to calibrate as the micro is using USB and can only calibrate via desktop). Still doesn't respond like I would expect. Sounds jumpy rather than smooth.

Anyone have/able to use the C4 + an expression pedal like a wah? Any suggestions for other patches good for an expression pedal?

What expression pedal are you using? When connected straight to the pedal, are you able to flip the polarity so that it’s sending on the ring rather than the tip?

It’s a meloaudio pedal as I wanted something mini to fit on my board.

Yes I’m using a cable connector to flip the polarity. Thanks!

I just switched to using the micro and set the range from 0-127. Seems to be better I think. Still need to find some patches to see if it’s worth using an expression pedal.

It’s absolutely worth using expression pedal. I’ve programmed loads of patches with expression control to do interesting morphing. Have a listen to the clips embedded in my patches on Neuro for a taste.

Very much depends on what you want to achieve. I wouldn’t generally alter the gate once set but will typically alter combinations of speed, depth, sensitivity, frequency and resonance. You can alter up to three parameters simultaneously and restrict their minimum and maximum values.

Usually I’ll program a sound I like then play around with parameters to see if there are variations on it that I like and then program those onto expression and the two control knobs.

Do you ever assign more than 1 parameter at a time to the expression pedal simultaneously? Will keep messing around.
