Just snagged a gemini to add to my aftershock and C4, very excited. Do people here without the neuro hub use one switch for chorus, one for flange, and one for phaser, or switch with the app? Just trying to figure out the best use in a band setting. At least until i inevitably get the hub

It’s really up to you, that’s the beauty of these! You can set the switches up that way, if you’re never gonna use phaser you can set one as chorus, one as one type of flange and another as a different flange, or however you want to set them. Or it’s also pretty easy to switch with the app.

You can do lots of things. I’m using it so that I can run the Ultrawave into the C4 filters but then have my dry signal trigger the envelopes.

Here’s a few tasters. The first one is UW first, followed a Zvex Mastrotron which I was trying to copy. Then the same two patches are alternatively run into two different filters (C4 and Chromatron respectively). (Note that in this clip the Ultrawave was in front of the C4 rather than in its loop so the envelope response wasn’t as good as it could’ve been).

The second is a different UW sound.

The third is the same and the second but with some phaser, delay and reverb.

These sounds are just a drop in the ocean and done using two of the available engines and not using any morphing etc. This thing is vast.

Interesting @Quatschmacher about putting it in the loop, I was planning on it being at the front of my chain after the signal split, where I had the Multiwave Bass Distortion for the last 10 years, with a clean boost being an always on type of thing. Would you recommend the clean boost being from the Aftershock, and running AS> C4> Ultrawave> C4 instead?

You could even do both - have one channel of the UW as a clean boost at the front of the chain, then have the second channel running in the C4’s loop later on.

I’ve recently overhauled my entire board, save for my original Empress compressor and Aftershock / Gemini.

I’ve gone hard into the SA universe lately and picked up the Hub, EQ2, C4, and Soleman (still waiting on that one). Love all of them and know whatever they put out is worth trying.

I’ve currently got the UW beta sitting in my cart, but... where exactly are people planning to fit this in sound-wise? Almost a bit intimidated by the descriptions of what’s in it.

I got in on the second batch of beta units. The Soundblox 2 MWBD was my very first pedal; can't wait to get a similar feeling from this bad boy. Though for placement suggestions... Where do people think it could make a good fit in this chain?

I do have other effects before and after (and a compressor after the EQ2), but I imagine I'll toss it somewhere in that loop.

I had the Multiwave Bass Distortion at the front of my chain for years, and kept it as an always on clean boost and EQ, and would occasionally engage the insane sounds. With this one having the stereo/dual channel routing (along with the same for the C4, Aftershock, and Collider also on my board), I'll probably take @Quatschmacher 's advice on routing it as that clean boost, but also sending it in the C4 loop. And I'll probably put the Aftershock in that loop as well. The multiband tremolo now has my rapt attention, and combining that with the C4 and Aftershock and Collider has my heart palpitating.

I tend to place my EQ2 on the end of my chain. That way I can use it for post effects room EQ and Volume swells. In terms of placement of your Lunar and Spectrum, it depends if you want to modulate your filters or filter your modulation. The addition of the Ultrawave is an interesting prospect. It's got a compressor and an EQ, which makes it ideal for the the early end of one's chain. So I'm wondering about something along the lines of
Input > C4 > Ultrawave > Aftershock > Lunar > Spectrum > EQ2 (with an expression pedal...just because...)

For my rig, I'm a bit undecided where to place the Ultrawave too. But it's going to be a lot of fun finding out. It's a dirt pedal, a synthy sounding pedal, an EQ, a trem / slicer and a serious compressor. So, I'm thinking that it might need it's own loop on my Boss ES-5. I might move my Lunar onto the output of the ES-5 and use Midi to switch it on / off. So my path would be Input > C4 / L1 > EXH Hog2 / L2 > Aftershock / L3 > Eventide H9 / L4 > Ultrawave / L5 > Output > Lunar > EQ2 > Eventide H9 (ambience). However, this could all change once I have an Ultrawave to play with.

I'm checking out a Lunar, and I want to download the three factory settings of Gemini off Neuro but cannot. Why only those? In the factory tab, All the presets there are available to me except those.

Desktop 0.8.10. I can see them—they're there all right, but when I click on them, the pedal doesn't take on their settings like it does all the others in the same list. Only the Classic/Flanger factory preset does (first in the sceenshot), but not the two made out of the dual/quad chorus. The "knobs" don't change in Neuro, nor does the Effect Type change... it stays on "Classic Flange/Chorus".

Also, when I search with the "compatibility" box checked, they don't show up.
