Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

This is patch 22 on the editor. I'm well past the initial holy 6 patches.
Be that as it may, when you made the alteration, did you simply press “save” to overwrite the original patch or did you press “save as” and store it as a new preset? I’m trying to determine if the method of saving might be the cause of your issue.

With my beta, it happens with any / all patches. If I unlink the channels into 2 separated channels, if I then use the Knob assignment link so that it's green. If i then touch and move that physical knob slightly...the green light goes off and unlinks. I suspect that the default assignment is to channel 1 only. If I click over to channel 2...that knob does nothing.

I’m stumped. I’d try reinstalling the app and firmware from scratch. Have you tried a different USB port and/or cable?

The UltraWave looks so tempting and funnnn but I must must must must resist as I need a new 'puter in the studio and that is gonna blow the 2021 and probably my 2022 budget all to Hades.

Might be worth a factory reset, after backing up your settings, could be some old code from before the update that’s causing issues deep down in the pedal.

Win 10 20H2 build.
It's interesting that there's a reduced feature set if I save the Ultrawave as a Hub Scene. I'm guessing that'll expand in time?
Nope, too much going on in the ultrawave for hub to fully support it, this was the compromise we came up with in order for it to work. Hub can recall presets from the pedal itself, but will only save changes to a hub scene for those listed controls in the hub editor, all additional controls will load according to how they are saved on the pedal itself.

I know this must've been covered, but where do you place the Ultrawave in your chain? I'm imagining Ultrawave(loop)-C4-Ultrawave-Aftershock might be great...I'd like to try the tremolo/LFO going into the C4...:woot:

My experimentation has been all Aftershock> UW> C4> Collider after doing a brief trial of the C4 first. Not really using the Aftershock, other than for a stereo out and into the UW. I've done a little bit of trying the Aftershock on low settings and a bit on more extreme settings into the UW, but not sure how I felt about the results, hadn't thought of sending the UW into the Aftershock. A tube overdrive after that madness could be a really nice mixture...

But look
!!!

Got them all loaded up into my UW! Digging the (factory) bass sounds in this video way more than the factory Beta presets... I admit I was just kinda lukewarm on the UW until these presets! Much more excited now!

Looking forward to spending some quality time with the UW this weekend to dive into patch creation. I never had a Multiwave, so the Ultra is still pretty new to me. Looking forward to seeing how it combos with the C4!

5sg.

I'm trying to decide this too, I'm thinking Ultrawave in the C4 loop so I can feed it raw oscillators then process with the ultrawave, then filter them... but this could change!

I've uninstalled my Neuro Desktop and reinstalled it. I've backed up my Ultrawave, restored it to factory settings and loaded from a Device backup. Still the same issue. I've tried a different USB port and cable. I've tried disconnecting the hub. I went back to Nathan's cloud patch and re-burnt it and now it works fine. The knob assignment link option is permanently on but only controls channel 1. So it looks like it's fixed, but not really.

On a separate issue, Jesse sent me a beta firmware (1.10.2) to deal with the strymon power up ramp / delay & Neuro hub midi expression issue. That seems to have been wiped from the new firmware. All those bugs are back for me.
