I recently picked up an Ultrawave here on TB. It is fun so far, but there is going to be a learning curve figuring it out and getting what I want.
that might be easier to find if I knew what’s that was. lol.

Well I can try the USB connection but it seems to me the issue is in my app with this internet connection business. It wouldn't even let me log out to try to log back in.

I got things to work on my iPad, but that's a lot less convenient for a variety of reasons.

Might be best to delete and reinstall the app.

Is there possibly a permissions issue? It's been a while since I used Android, so I don't remember if you need to grant access to the internet. The app should allow you to browse through community presets even when you aren't connected to a pedal, so there is definitely an issue there with the app.

I agree that something really fundamental is not right.
Restart phone
Reinstall app/update app
Check permissions for internet access

I was bringing up the USB issue because Adam mentioned that he was using the TRS cable. If it were me, I would be using USB all day long with the phone on the Ultrawave.

Basic internet access is usually not something that gets granted on a per-app basis. Certain other permissions yes, internet access no.

I will delete and re-install and then report back if I'm still having an issue. And I'll see if I have that USB cable to try that connection...

You should be able to pick any type of pedal in the app and browse community presets, even without a pedal attached. Are you able to see presets for other pedals types?

Uninstalled and reinstalled, when I opened it said "Offline Mode" and I'm still getting the "No Internet Connection" warning in other cases. I dug into the permissions and didn't see any options to fix the issue.

No, only factory presets are showing up for all pedals. No community presets.

Just checked the Neuro app on my phone and it works just fine.
I can browse the community presets without a pedal connected.
No special permissions needed.

Oh, when you tried to browse for community presets, did you poke the rightmost tab ?

Just talked to Jesse about this. Very strange. That is an older device, but not so old that it should not work. I have personally NEVER seen the "no internet connection" alert message. You should send a note to Jesse directly on this. He is giving you the green light.

Hmm...when I loaded my app (Android 9 on Samsung Galaxy S8 Note), it said it needed to be connected to the internet (I was). Then under "browse" I only got the six factory presets (which seemed to be different than what was already loaded on the pedal) --- no community presets.

Any thoughts?

Then it should work.
It was Andriod version 5 or 6 that had permissions messed up.

It's a Galaxy S8 Note; it's 4-5 years old but was the flagship model when I got it. That is to say, it's not that old...

Are you on Wifi? and Is the Neuro App in your phone set to use Cellular Data? If Cellular Data is turned off and you're not on wifi it won't connect (at least on my apple phone I was able to replicate the No Internet Connection)

Both wifi and cellular data are on. I was using the internet for other things.

Sounds strange.
The phone can only use one at a time so try disabling either cellular or wifi.
If that doesn't help, try switching to the other one..

Perhaps this is obvious, but have you tried using a different phone (surely you have friends/relatives with a smartphone that won’t mind you downloading the Neuro app for troubleshooting purposes)?
