Could the Ultrawave have close to same functionality as the jct95 fuzz wah if paired with an expression pedal? I've been kind of gassing for both but can't get myself to splurge the cash for both of them. The ultrawave with am expression pedal comes pretty close to the price of the wah and if it could approximate the same sounds it would be a no brainer.

I would guess that the C4 would get you closer, as it has the proper filter effects for the wah along with basic distortion. But I haven't tried to create a fuzz wah preset, so not sure.

Uploaded my cabsim-esque EQ2 patch, titled Bass Cab Sim. It has a baked-in 8x10-ish setting. Bands 1 and 10 on channel 1 are set up to tighten the frequency spectrum as you cut the gain on the band, while adding an ever-increasing resonant peak at the knee. The other bands are at the frequencies listed on the face of the pedal, for clarity and for general usefulness in shaping the curve. 8k will extend out the -0 db point of the upper curve; 4k will grow the upper peak of the high curve; 2k will make the slope more gentle. 62 hz will increase the peak of the low curve, and 125 hz will make the slope more gentle. 250 hz, 500 hz, and 1k will shape the midrange response. I recommend loading it up in the software and messing with the sliders to see the shapes.

You could possibly get some filtering going by sweeping the parametric mid-frequency with expression and setting the mid frequency to boost. Might be quite a narrow peak though.

Or sweep the LPF and HPF together to create a bandpass.

Something like that might be possible using morph. There are many parameters like LPF/HPF that are not remotely adjustable unless setup using morph.

Aren't they assignable in the MIDI map though so could be swept by an external expression pedal sending those particular CCs? Morph would work too though.

The Ultrawave doesn't have any specific / dedicated pitch capabilities, where as the C4 and Spectrum has dirt and a vast array of filter options. In fact it's exactly the Spectrum's design intention. I have modelled several filters with a fuzz element, you can map the filter to one of the two assignable control knob if you don't want to plug in an external expression pedal. You could also assign the dirt level to the other assignable control knob. Maybe add an octaver too (mapped to a knob or expression) to add even more versatility, going beyond what the jct95 offers?

I tried assigning HPF/LPF to a knob/expression and was unable to (was attempting to get easier control of dual band compression). It kinda makes sense since you'd ideally like to set a range, which the normal external controls don't allow.

EDIT: sorry, misread. I didn't check the MIDI map, so maybe something is there. Still need to be able to set the range though

I wouldn't, collider would be set up better for this using dual mono/parallel split mode where one engine is placed in the loop, and the other is placed in your chain. 2 independent effects, 1 for each channel.

Hm i should take a look at the collider, that´s an interresting pedal too. But i have the nemesis on my pedelboard so woluld like to try that first, if it is possible. I guess there where a posibility to route the signal in the Nemesis?

Welp... Niko was able to find my email address and my account but everything I posted to the cloud is gone. I had about 30 or so patches that went poof. I haven't heard back today about any further updates but here we are.

So far no explanation for this. I have never logged out of the Neuro account on either of my computers.

This is why I backup my pedals and then create copies of those backups

At least the most of what I use are still on the pedal and can be reuploaded to the cloud... I assume.

This is the second time I've lost all my patches. The first time I needed to replace the footswitch. I got detailed instructions how to do it, but no one told me to back everything up to the cloud BEFORE doing surgery. Obviously looking back, I should have done that on my own - but it should have been at least mentioned.

I heard back from Niko again just a little bit ago, he said he was checking on cloud backups. I'm pretty sure the account he is checking is the only one I have. I gave him a few different possibilities just in case I may have accidentally made a second account when I signed up.

I only remember doing it once, I've been wrong before though, lol

I made one back in 2019, search "fuzz wah" in the neuro app, 3 come up, my personal one is the oldest.

The problem with the nemesis is it's not really setup to do this. There's no dual mono routing options for the nemesis, and it's only a single dsp, vs dual like ventris and collider. You will need 2 independent mono lines to make this work without any issues. Nemesis' stereo input requires in 1 for out 2 in creating the stereo image, so you won't have 2 independent sounds when routing like this.
