@Gibs210 - As I recall, there are some limitiations when talking to the One Series via the Hub vs talking to them directly. Is it knob positions that are not reported? It had been a while and I forget these things!

The editor is unable to show dynamic changes when you move knobs on the pedal itself or change the toggle switch, you’ll need to hit the refresh button in the editor window to view any updated changes with the one series. Moving controls in the editor window is the most reliable way of adjusting.

As a first time SA user (just the UW), I can sense a mild obsession starting to creep in....

That C4.... is just SO cool to look at.... Find I have to gaze wistfully at it several times a day....

If you like octavers, envelope filters, synths, sequencers and/or harmonizers, you’ll be happy with the C4: it’s got it all!
If there was a built in compressor I’d call it a multieffect.

Oh I've read plenty about it alright.
I think it just looks so shiny and seductive! Sexy almost ha ha

But can't justify it atm.....
Maybe over next dark winter, time to noodle....

Thanks Roger. It was just brain fog and sifting through videos and posts to get it figured out LOL. All good. Aftershock, Spectrum, and Vertigo. Thinking of replacing the Vertigo with a Gemini. Then a C4 in place of the MXR chorus.

Life sometimes steers you in directions that are unavoidable. I'm on the cusp of retirement and hope to be back playing locally on a small scale. The Aftershock paired with the Spectrum is absolutely amazing!!

Hoping y'all can help me out with my Collider.

I've been using a dual switch external box to step up & down through 8 presets with no problem. Now, I'm trying to also use an SA Dual Exp Pedal in the "control input" (1/8" trs jack with supplied trs cable) to control some parameters. No matter if I use the pc editor, or follow the directions in the manual can I get the control input to do anything. I've given up tinkering and throw myself at your mercy, talkbass!

Help?

Never mind, I figured it out. Needed to set the control in on the x axis. At least, that's what is working for me.

Brothers and sisters, I feel the need to take fuller advantage of my Source Audio pedals. I have an Aftershock which I use exclusively in the default "Heavy" or "smoked glass C4L" mode. (Which is ironic because I A/B'd it with a genuine Darkglass B3K and absolutely favored the Aftershock.) And I have a C4 which is at present totally out of control. I think the last time I used it in a set was 3-4 years ago. I could be doing so much more with these. Yes, I need to spend some time in the Neuro editor, but I feel like maybe it's time to get some MIDI action going on here. What kind of products should I be looking at? I do not need to go crazy with it. I would like to get into it in a limited - but not limiting - way. What am I looking for?

Not only do I need some Dance With Somebody synth go-tos, I bet I could ditch my Sansamp YYZ if I had just the right patch on the Aftershock (in addition to the face-melting Heavy).

If you are running true-bypass, then some loss is a side-effect of lengthening your path from bass to amp (or whatever else), particularly if you are using passive instruments

I use a Tech 21 Midi Mouse. If you're OK with setting up all of your presets as scenes in the neuro hub, it's a good simple low cost option. Doesn't help with the tap tempo though.

I'm curious how people are using their Soleman. Are you using many non Source Audio digital pedals with yours?
I'm trying to work out if if worth using one instead of my current Boss ES-5 as a midi / scene commander

Band rehearsal last night, got a fantastic tone using UW in conjunction with an amp/cab sim on the Boss gt-1b, plus extra comp on my Markbass compressore. Just some DIY OD/comp patches plus one by @GMC. Really great bite, punch, tiny hint of growl through the mix. Might have had some dirt on the gt-1b patch aswell, plus high mids on my darkglass harmonic booster..... Can't exactly remember. But dead pleased with the overall bass tone.
I know the UW can do so much standalone, but I'm loving these subtle extra 'refinements' I can use it for, with combinations on my (part analogue) board.

Tried a couple of more elaborate patches, with the studio's trace Eliot amp xl-ed through pa, but the sound was too muddy, compared with my own Fender rumble. Not the best representation of the UW patch.

How do you others adapt your live set up to get best 10 band UW 'spread' on your amp /live rig? Extra EQ?

I’ll chip in on the MIDI control thing coz I’ve been through it!

I went for a Morningstar MC6, even though (at the time) the C4 was the only pedal I had. Pricier than other options, but it can do anything your pedal supports over MIDI in ways that you wouldn’t have thought you needed. Control of expression parameters, stupid complex stuff like re-routing both ins and outs per preset, you name it.

Downside: if you’re running older SA pedals then the Hub is a must which pushes the £ up. If you’re just using a C4 then the forthcoming cable thingy from SA would mean no hub needed but if you’ve got Aftershock and Gemini in the chain like me the Hub’s the way.

And of course with a Morningstar you’ll be able to control anything MIDI in future. Like: anything.

I just picked one up yesteday and I'm going through the manual. This is my first Midi controller so i'm super green. I've heard this is a great unit to start with.
