You’ll be fine. Worst case it doesn’t supply enough power and/or it hums.

And isolated PSUs don’t need to cost a fortune, for example Thomann’s own brand Harley Benton isolated PSUs are really good, and not anywhere near the price of Cioks etc

I think I understand the Neuro hub, but I specifically want to use the expression input with an active source and it only mentions passive, but I don't want a foot swept thing. It is specifically a Copilotfx Broadcast and Autodialer (LFO and envelope-to-expression 5V 50kOhm I believe). Anyone know if that's a problem?

The Copilot units are specifically designed to sweep passive expression values, just make sure you are using the expression output and not the CV output

It’s been brought up a few times, but it essentially just a box made to translate external MIDI to 1/8” to communicate with pedals that otherwise currently rely on a Hub or USB Host for MIDI control. So you won’t get any of the integrated preset capabilities of a Hub, but the box is smaller!

To be fair, the cost of a Cioks DC7 is around the cost of one of the cheapest new Source Audio pedals (at least in the US)- so put into context it’s hardly a fortune for one of the best power supplies currently available!

Agreed.

After years of ‘getting by’ with whatever supplies were handy, I’ve gone DC7 & ex8, and can’t see myself ever going back. Plenty of power in reserve, and no noise.

Me too. Never had issues with SA pedals making noise. But some others generate that high pitch digital noise. once heard it can't be ignored. DC7 made it all better it hurts to spend on power but worth it as I never need to worry about it again.

The Muff patch has been on the neuro Collective for a little while. With any Muff model, we need a big mids scoop and a large treble cut to give it it's renown dark and scooped tone. I called it "GMC Muff & Comp Muff". It's 2 channel Muff that's replicated on both channels. Except that Ch2 has the compressor switched on and Ch1 is compressor-less. The expression is mapped to the "balance" control that blends between either channel. If you aren't using an expression pedal, then you could map one of the controls to Balance for both channels.

I also published "GMC Muff gated Fuzz" patch that is very close to a patch I use on the Aftershock. It's a Muff and a Gated Fuzz that you can morph between. It has some compression applied. It's on a single channel too. the Morph and a bit of treble has been assigned to the Expression, you could easily re-assign this to one of the control knobs. Currently the control knobs are set to stock, so Sustain controls the compressor input Gain.

The RAT patch I'm still working on, it uses the same basic distortion engine as the Muff, but very different compression and EQ settings. I'll probably release two patches, one gated and one compression focussed.

Hey all, just got myself the Vertigo tremolo and my understanding is that it packs all the effect types of the one series chorus, phaser and flanger. How do I unlock these in the PC app? I cant' find the effect types in the editor and if I download a Gemini chorus preset it open up a tab and says that the pedal is offline.

The chorus, phaser, and flanger all share the same effects, but the tremolo is not compatible with them.

Anyone among you valued sorcerers who has experience with a hudson dual broadcast emulation using aftershock or ultrawave? Primarily interested in the low-gain side. On my broadcast I've turned up gain on the low-gain side a little via internal trimpot.

Pleased to hear about @GMC working on a rat-patch! As stated here before, I'm looking to eliminate my rat, my dual broadcast and with SA's routing possibilities also the LS-2 that I'm using rn for mixing clean and dirt.

For reference - current state
comp -> LS-2 -> broadcast -> rat -> LS-2 -> mix to Thumpinator -> SLO:
