Has anyone ever had any problems with the SB2 MWBD and the internittent loss of volume when a preset is engaged. Mines becoming too unreliable to take out to gigs. It starts crackling like an old record then the output volume disappears and it sounds like it faintly clipping. Unplugging the hothand sometimes solves the problem but not always, I've also tried it with different power supplies. It is getting on for 2 years old....is it time to replace???
Any similar experiences out there????

In addition to this, I have some more questions I have been pondering:
(1) What's the latest on the Reflex? (Worth repeating )
(2) Can someone remind me the best way to apply Velcro to the HH3 receiver? You sandpaper the bottom?
(3) Why is it that all of the various online dealers I would tend to go to for Source Audio stuff do not have the Hub?
(4) Any word on using the Hub to do a firmware swap between the guitar and bass OFD versions? (Or, perhaps the Manta/Stingray versions?)

OK, so my Hot Hand arrived and I connceted it to my BOSS PH3 and a Behringer pitch shifter....no response. I connected the power supply to the reciever and used a stereo(atleast I think it is) patch cable to connect the reciever to the pedals.

Am I overlooking something here?

Adamixoye has nailed all the key points. If you still have trouble, send a note to [email protected]. We have a VERY high success rate getting HH3 to work with other pedals.

Well, I used a third party pedal just to test it. As long as it will work with my Manta I am happy.

It is not stereo. it is actually 3 contact points. Here is the info I posted some time ago

I have some info on 1/8 cables to link your pedals to the hub and such. I ordered from CABLE MART. Here is the part #(FS-4CT-01-90) for the 1.5' cable. They also offer 3', 6', and 6'' I think. I ordered a bunch for my board. The 3'(FS-4CT-03-90) was only $1.39! The 1.5' (FS-4CT-01-90) was $1.24! I ordered a few of each to set up my board. They work perfect and seem good quality. Hope it helps.

I do think your are speaking about the 1/4'' cable that is indeed a TRS format cable.

Yes, put the tape on the smooth side of the receiver and then the velco on the back of the duct tape.

What are the wave forms included? Sine, Saw, Square, Random, Custom?

Will users be able to write their own custom sequences? This would be awesome if it could copy some of the functionality of the EHX 8step in a smaller format. It would finally bring a full functioning arpeggiator to pedal boards, still allowing the individual to use their pitch shifter of choice (M series, Pitchfactor, HOG, Whammy, etc). It could also create some really interesting wobbles using filters, modulation, or sequenced Fuzz.

If a custom sequence is available please include a glide function for synthy G-funk goodness.

Also I want a Pegasus Unicorn for my birthday.

I have been thinking about this for the past 3 hours and now I am beyond excited. Once I move some items I have for sale I was going to pick up an 8step, but now I will definitely hold out. It definitely opened a whole new world of questions for me though:

How many steps will the custom sequence have?
Can the expression be sent to one device while the LFO is sent to another?
Can different custom sequences be used at the same time?
Can the separate LFO's be set to different clock divisions? (LFO1=1/4, LFO2=Whole, etc?)

I know not every request is possible, but I can just imagine using this to control my M9 and H9 in parallel loops. M9 for fat Sub synth slow 1/4 note wobbles and H9 playing bubbly 1/8 note arpeggios overtop with the heel down. Then pressing to toe down to speed the sub synth lfo to 1/16 and the H9 arpeggio up an octave.

Hi ferdinandstrat,

Unfortunately, like many other things in the music tech industry, there is no real accepted "standard" among gear makers for expression pedal configurations. At Source Audio, we decided to go with what we thought was the most common configuration. In this setup, the expression pedal accepts a TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cable. The cable's tip contact is connected to the wiper of the potentiometer, and the two terminals of the potentiometer are connected to the cable's ring and sleeve contacts.

To make it a little more clear, here's a simple diagram showing the 3 most common configurations. The first two configurations utilize TRS (stereo) cables - the only difference between them is that the tip and ring contacts are reversed. The last configuration in this diagram (used by Line 6 and Eventide, and perhaps some other manufacturers), uses a TS (mono) cable.
