I've spent hours checking cables, routing, power supplies etc. all to no avail. I'm convinced it's a setting issue somewhere, not a hardware or software problem. So (after all that! Lol!), in the Neuro desktop app when I select a scene, there is a scene change data box with a number under each pedal in the scene. Should that number match the midi channel I have set for each pedal? I assumed yes, but it doesn't seem to work that way. I have the Reflex on ch. 1, the hub on ch. 2, pedals are all on their own numbers. 5-pin midi connects OC-10>Reflex>Hub, pedals are all connected to hub with SA TRRS control cables. I'm sending PC to the hub from OC-10 to change scenes, CCs from the Reflex to change parameters on individual pedals connected to the hub. It all worked before, now it doesn't and I'm at a loos as to why. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Might need to use the neuro editor and backup all of the pedals you updated and then perform a factory reset, then reload the backup files to see if that addressed it.

Yeah, I did that. After updating the Neuro editor and seeing that there were other updates for the pedals/hub, I backed up the hub before I ran the other updates. Everything seemed to update properly. I reloaded the backup file, started playing, and then noticed the problem. I started unhooking things one at a time and narrowed the problem down to the hub and aftershock. With everything unhooked, I did a hard reset of the Aftershock (per Niko's instruction), re-installed firmware, then updated the hub again. Still same problem. That's why I think it's a setting conflict on my end. I'm not sure why things suddenly stopped communicating properly, was looking for confirmation on some of the midi settings to make sure I have things configured properly.

First thing verify you're using trrs cables and not trs cable I had similar issues and the cable was the culprit

Yep, TRRS. Same cables I have been using all along, all but one are even source audio cables. I've switched them all around to different pedals to rule out the cables themselves and they all seem to work perfectly with the other pedals. So I don't think that's the problem. I'm thoroughly stumped. :confused:

Ok so everything worked before adding the ultra wave correct? Let's start there. take the ultrawave out of the mix..if you want...then see if it's working...or test the ultrawave by it's self

Yep, everything worked before. Last time I updated was for the C4 and Spectrum, and everything worked after that update. Still learning the C4, actually. That pedal is deep! :roflmao: But yes, everything worked before the update. I've unhooked all the other pedals from the hub, so just the hub and the Aftershock, and the problem persists. Also, if I run just the AS, not connected to the hub, the six presets on the pedal work fine, no issues. All controls work as expected. But no midi control from the hub. Which is why I think it might be a channel setting somewhere. I have a scene on the hub where the AS has ch.1 as a clean eq and ch.2 as a mild od and I use the Reflex to send two CCs to the hub to control the output levels of each channel separately. One up/down and one down/up so I can blend the two channels in real time. It used to work great. Now the ch.2 control doesn't work. The hub doesn't seem to be reading the CC messages and passing them to the AS properly anymore. What have I done!!! :roflmao::roflmao:

You know on second thought my hub went bad as well. I bet you the hub went funky. I would contact SA support. I sent it off, they fixed it, now everything is great. Ironically after I got my Atlas and ultrawave the hub went bad..

I wondered that as well. Software detects all the pedals, individually and as a group when connected to the hub. And yet, the hub doesn't seem to respond properly to midi commands anymore, particularly with the Aftershock. I just wanted to make sure my midi/channel settings were good before I brought that up to SA support. What channels are others using for a multi pedal setup like this? Everything on it's own channel? What about those scene change data channel settings? I had everything on separate channels before and it worked fine. But maybe the newer pedals, particularly the UW, are confusing the hub and/or Neuro app? I don't remember what the scene change data numbers were before I tried changing them. They may have all been set to 1. Will definitely bring all this up to SA support.

You updated yes, but did you do a factory reset? Update only updates the firmware, it won’t restart the internal memory, which making updates can cause issues with your presets and other things.

I know I did it for the Aftershock, pretty sure I did the same with the hub, factory reset first, then updated firmware. It did erase all my saved scenes, had to reload from backup. But I've been through so many attempts of various things I'm not 100% sure anymore. Lol! Will do it again to be sure, factory reset followed by firmware update, and report back.

Again I bet you there's something out of sorts with that hub...let SA support sort it out.

Make sure you are double checking all the MIDI channel numbers. You will want each pedal on its own channel, and any MIDI CC you send has to use the same channel as the pedal. Your scenes might also need to have to right channel setup for each pedal too.

I have had a DEVO on my SA gear...

I have, for no negative reason, cleared out all of my ecosystem and kept the last pedal I acquired - the C4. Who would have guessed?

I would like to ask regarding the DMC MicroPro as a USB midi connection controller for the C4 (such a space saver!)

Could someone advise regarding capabilities, limitations and if, on a basic level, this controller will allow good access for the C4? Issues experienced? Little tricks everyone should know about? :thumbsup:

Hi,

No, not my personal experience. I remember how you went through that. I think it may well be a Hub thing. Not all, but some. Manufacturing bugs, just happens..

I have moved to analog, except for the C4. Love SA, just changed up for a custom unit. I just want to use the C4 with a reasonable controller for access to the 128 slots. :bassist:

The MicroPro should work fine. You will have two options for preset scrolling- in the DMC “Device Mode” you can scroll consecutively through the C4 presets in the order they are saved in the C4 (you can scroll both up and down) and as you scroll the C4 will either turn on with every scroll or turn off with every scroll. Alternatively, in the DMC “Preset Mode” you create DMC presets that both recall an internal C4 preset of choice AND a bypass state of choice for each preset. “Preset mode” makes much more sense to me for gigging purposes and you don’t have to worry about the order of presets in the C4 itself
