There’s a sample rate reducer in the distortion section of the Spectrum and C4.

Not a deal breaker though, since I typically only change presets between songs. If I do need to change mid song I'll just need to make sure that the necessary presets are adjacent on the DMC.

So you have a standard MIDI cable going from the DMC MIDI jack to the Neuro Hub MIDI IN jack?
And then run a USB C to USB mini B cable from your tablet to the mini B jack on the DMC?

Search the C4 community presets in the app. I know there are some for the C4 that will probably work in the Spectrum (since they aren’t using the synth voices that the Spectrum doesn’t have), though you may have to just look at different settings and copy them since I don’t think C4 presets will directly load on a Spectrum.

So I tried the only EQ2 thread I found, and tried searching the neuro community presets, and have come up empty.

Can the EQ2 be set up so one of the EQs is working like a tone stack? I couldn’t find any presets that did that. I’d love to set up EQs that I could set up some midi knobs to act as some of my favorite tone controls. It would be also nice to set it up to be able to do VLPF and VHPF with the same knobs. Mimicking the bergantino tone controls or the Nordstrand star lifter controls or even a 3 band Aguilar obp3 or something would be great as I get to know my full setup better.

Any tips for setting up the EQ to act like this?

I have a DMC Micro Pro on the way to use with my C4. I'm reading thru the DMC manual in the meantime and am unsure how to save presets from the C4 to the DMC. Do I just go to the blank preset I want to save it on and hold the C4 footswitch down in preset mode the way I would to save to the pedal?

We have created quite simple tools for searching these things.
Spectrum preset with bit cruching:
Neuro Community by Source Audio
As @sunbeast has said, you can also search on the C4 for bit crushing and see other presets and how they were made on the C4. Chances are good you can replicate this on the Spectrum.

Just "Neuro-it" !! :)

I didn't have time to type out a good response, but now that you've reminded me: you won't save the preset from the c4 to the dmc. But you can save the associated preset number to the dmc, and then recall what's in the c4 that way.
To put it a different way, the c4 has its presets and all the dmc will do is tell it "use that number".
You can do that by going into "Preset mode" (look at page 16 of the DMC.micro PRO manual).

My real question is for anyone that uses the soleman 1. How many devices can you control with the soleman and 2. Can you access individual pedals and scroll through presets or banks of presets per pedal if so how. I can find no one source of info on how to do this any where. I know this is not possible with my lunar and aftershock, but I have a c4, ultrawave, spectrum and a atlas. If not can any suggest a controller that can.

I know this is totally possible using a Morningstar controller, ideally the MC6 or MC8 for the added footswitches. Morningstar controllers are highly configurable, so you can have any number of pages to scroll through with multiple commands programmed per each footswitch (or combination of footswitches hit simultaneously) per page (you can set different commands for different types of press AND release of each footswitch). I know lots of Morningstar users will set up a page for each of their MIDI pedals, with four switches assigned to a combo of most-used presets plus an option to scroll up and down through an individual device’s presets. Then you can hit a command to switch pages to a different pedal to access that pedal’s presets, etc. you can also combine multiple pedals on a page or anything you want really.

Ah gotcha. So if I make any changes I have to save it in the Neuro app first.

My gripe about the mobile app is that there is no way to access all your presets and when you save a preset there's no way to know what # it is without opening the desktop app. Unless I'm missing something.

You need to connect your C4 to your phone via USB for the pedal to be able to communicate with the mobile app (including viewing names of presets saved on the C4), connecting via audio cable the C4 only receives messages from the app and internal presets will just be accessed blind.

I may have to go the morningstar route definitely a lot more user support than the soleman from what I can see.

The Soleman is pretty old at this point, and while it seems it was pretty great when it was released (especially as a platform for controlling some of their own earlier and less sophisticated pedals) I don't think it can really compete with what some of the newer controllers are capable of using more modern processing and designed to control much more sophisticated devices. I have no doubt that if Source Audio wanted to they could also design a modernized Soleman that could bring some cool new things to the table, but it doesn't seem to be their priority at this point. Morningstar on the other hand has made their controllers the center of their business, and they are constantly being updated (and recently upgraded, via the MC6 Pro- which has added USB Host capabilities by the way for direct control of One-Series SA pedals) to handle ever more sophisticated tasks based on user feedback. I'd recommend going to check out the forum on their website where they are regularly engaged with users to solve problems and make/take suggestions!
