MC8s still sell well. Sold mine really quickly and didn’t lose a huge amount on it. I’d had it since the moment it came out.

I’m having trouble getting the EQ2 to activate the tuner through the soleman/neuro hub. I created a scene for it just like other EQ presets, but when activating the scene that should be triggering the tuner it pulls up one of the other EQ settings- I think it’s the last one that was active on the pedal prior to switching to the tuner before creating the scene, if that makes sense. Anyone have any insight on this? TIA

Good question they mention other ways to access the tuner but never tell you how. I also see no options in the app.

Thanks, that worked. Is there a way to edit presets on the mobile app? When I recall a preset, it loads and I can make changes via the knobs on the pedal, but the editor window stays the same. It just stays as whatever was loaded in the editor last, either a new preset when you start the app or as a preset that I chose to edit from the library.

The way it looks I'm assuming that in order to edit a preset in an app it needs to be the desktop app?

You can absolutely edit presets on the mobile app. Swipe right on a preset in the list, press “edit”.

That's why I want his opinion, with rumours of a MC8 Pro coming later this year I want to make sure I go after the right unit.

For the amount of work I’ve put in over the last two years plus, I’d hope I could have as many Mortrix boxes as my heart desires. :-D

There are still some things I can do on MC6 Pro that I’ve managed to do more neatly than on Mortrix, in part due to the multiple button actions and shift states and direct access to scroll counters. Some of these things may change depending on whether/how Morten implements some other features I’ve proposed. (Button actions will be limited to press and long press though.)

Currently Mortrix cannot act as a USB interface to a PC, MC6Pro can and I use that feature a lot. This is one idea for an expansion module, though I wish it were an integral part.

MC6 Pro is and always will be smaller.

True. I’m in a very fortunate and privileged position to have access and help develop all this cool stuff. Whilst a fair few of my ideas have made it into SA pedals and even more have gone into MS products, Mortrix contains a large amount of my ideas (some of which were things I’d sent to James of Morningstar years ago but he didn’t/couldn’t use, some inspired by the way Morten had made Mortrix). The range limiters on expression values and pedal travel and positional triggers were things I suggested and Morten implemented them beautifully. It’s been a very intellectually rewarding collaborative endeavour. Morten already had a very cool device when we were put in touch with one another; working together, we’ve made it an order of magnitude better. I just hope enough people like it enough to support it and make it a success so those efforts aren’t in vain.

But to sum up, even though I’m obviously a bit biased towards Mortrix, I won’t be giving up my MC6 Pro. Definitely a case to be made for having both. (I did get rid of my MC8 not long after I got the 6 Pro as aside from having two fewer buttons, it did everything else I needed and more neatly than the 8.)

This should be possible. You should just be able to switch back to the other view and start moving sliders to change parameters then burn again. I can’t check until tonight.

It didn't seem to be. The editor just stays populated with whatever was on it before, either the new preset template that pops up when you open the app or whatever preset I may have loaded from the library. No rush. Thanks!

You should be able to hear the effect more clearly if you turn the modulation depth to zero as you’ll hear the unmodulated delay time increasing as you turn the frequency control.

Make sure your pedal and app are both updated to the newest versions. To update the pedal to the newest version you’ll also have to have the newest Neuro desktop version downloaded (I’d grab this from the SA website).

You should be able to see the virtual knobs in the app change when moving them on the pedal if they are actually connected right.
