id love to update the soleman, (Jesse got a long laundry list of things I suggested over the years long before being hired on), it’s still a great controller, and I still use mine (paired with an airstep to supplement midi control and allow for connection to non midi pedals). I have 9 switches at my disposal for customized control of my board, soleman acts more as the master, recalling macros sent when loading in panels to get all my settings primed for a song, then some standard controls on panel mode for swapping presets on my midi modded POG2, switching curves on my eq2 (guitarist remember, so switching between standard and lead boost curves), switching presets on my reflex (volume and wah presets typically, sometimes some more customized settings for specific songs and multi pedal controls) and finally tap tempo (like having a master LED flashing in tempo at all times just to monitor the midi clock being sent out). Soleman in turn tells the airstep what presets to load up so that I get more customized switching for the specific song (amp channel, changing between ventris/nemesis and collider presets for a song, reverb hold, etc). Soleman is still pretty capable, and I find the long narrow design along with the connections being on the side to work betting on my board and allows me to keep the pedals above tight to the soleman and and easier to reach.

It’s the one other device besides the disaster area stuff that I found to support usb midi hosting. Morning star seems to finally be catching up, and sounds like the mortrix will as well. Had we forseen the need for usb hosting, (c4 wasn’t out yet when the soleman was released) then soleman would’ve had the capability as well, along with trs type A midi I’m sure, but a lot of things have changed drastically in the midi world since the soleman came out. There weren’t a lot of boss sized pedals supporting midi for one, especially not in the sun $300 category, the one series stuff might’ve been some of the first, grant it, you’d need a neuro hub to make use of it on a pedalboard without a computer over usb.

Nope, not from Lunar, Mercury and Gemini. It does however have its own 2-, 4- and 6-stage phasers (erroneously labelled as 1-, 2- and 3-stage).

Yes, it works as expected. If I recall an internal patch or browse a cloud preset, then when I navigate back to the edit screen, the new parameters are visible and editable.

There are a few bugs in the iOS app still though. Any Spectrum presets showing in the C4 feed do nothing when clicked on. @rsmith601 @NPappas this needs addressing. I’m also seeing duplicate entries in my “my library” tab again where one copy shows as “published” the other not Also, weirdly one of my patches “algobass 16” has got corrupted and sounds nothing like what I programmed it to be. It plays correctly when loaded via the desktop app.

My duplicates may have been because I’d amended the descriptions after publishing them. No idea about the corrupted patch though, that’s a complete mystery.

Any Mercury users in here? I know this has been asked but would like to have it confirmed for definite:

If you load a Lunar patch into Mercury, does the “delay” knob control the centre frequency of the phaser?

If you load a Gemini patch into Mercury, does the “delay” knob control the delay time on the delay line?

If the answer is yes to both questions then ironically I think I might have to get a Mercury flanger to have the exact top-level controls I’d find most useful on chorus and phaser patches. I’m considering having a second board with just delay, reverb and modulation that I can use as outboard for a couple of synths that don’t have built-in effects. Might need a third Hub too.

After you recall the preset does the window change automatically? Mine still isn't doing it.

Finally dipping into the Source Audio pool. My literal stacks of analog pedals are glaring at me, but I’m having fun. Aftershock and Gemini incoming.

Can’t remember now, I think it becomes frequency for phaser, maybe the shape control, but i didn’t think so. The delay remains a delay for chorus though

If you wanted to chain more than one of the MIDI dongle adapters to handle 2 (or more) pedals, do you just connect a TRRS cable from MIDI THRU on one adapter into the MIDI IN on the next one, and so on?

I know at some point it's better to just have a hub, but I'm running into some space issues on a particularly tight pedal board I'm currently putting together.

You need one adapter for each pedal.

Is there a manual of some type for the Neuro desktop app? It's not completely clear to me what some of the buttons are doing such as Read Pedals and Save.

I have the Neuro Hub connected to the C4, Gemini and Ultra Wave Bass. When I make changes to a pedal and save them in the Neuro desktop app, the pedal will go to those changes if I click on the saved preset. But when I step the Hub to the scene with that pedal it still uses the old settings.

If I need to have the Hub read and save the pedals manually from its buttons, it's not clear that it will get the updated setting and/or be saved to the correct hub scene location. And if I select the Read Pedals button on the desktop app, is that reading the pedals physical knob settings or the saved setting from the app? Thanks for any help.

Yes there's an manual for that, the hub and the pedals. Check out the SA support page.
