Got an Atlas coming in a few days. My first SA pedal (and first compressor). Here we go!

I have a Collider, and have a slight problem with it that I'm hoping to get some help with. All of the modes work on it except for the Room and E-Dome reverbs. Whenever I switch to those engines, I don't get any reverb at all, just the dry, even with dials cranked. Every other engine has plenty of reverb, just not those two.

I did a Factory Reset on Neuro Desktop and held down the right footswitch on boot, and that did not fix it. I am on v1.15, the latest version. I was hoping to download a fresh version from the website and flash that, but wasn't able to find any, it seems you can only update to the latest from inside the Neuro App.

Any suggestions?

For the factory reset either use the pedal process or through the app. Best to reset via app imo. Try it again and see what happens. You may have to send it to SA for rep6.

Does anyone know which pedals we can reach the detailed settings from a (USB connected) Neuro Hub (ie, C4, Aftershock, Mercury, Atlas highlighted in green) and which ones would require a USB connection to the pedal to reach the detailed settings (ie, Ultrawave Bass, highlighted in red)?

Specifically interested in EQ2 and Vertigo, but it would be nice to know which ones work like this and which ones do not.

To my understanding when you connect to the hub all you can do is change what's related to the hub i.e. scenes. If you want to make adjustments to the pedals connect to the pedals. I know some USB hubs that make changing from one USB connection to the next easier. Maybe that feature will be included in the upcoming Neuro editor. Connect through the hub to access all pedals and their functions.. that's my understanding.

but I do see what you're saying. I do think there is some difference with the ultrawave but I'm not sure what it is...

Only the Ultrawave requires a direct connection. All others can be configured through the Hub. The only thing you can’t do through the hub with any pedal is save/load pedal presets.

clarified. thanks. mostly when you're adjusting presets you'll want to save them. so the best policy is to do everything at the pedal level if you save what you've been tinkering with...

Update, reached out to this email. They quickly replied with some steps to fix which may have included a song, dance, and sage burning (jk) and a few button presses later pedal is working as intended.

After seeing some recent pics of everyone's setups, i decided to swap positions of a couple pedals on my board and im kinda surpised I hadnt done it sooner. My chain was C4>Aftershock>UW>Atlas>Collider. I swapped the C4 and Aftershock, the results are unreal! Once again the sorcerers come though...

I was coming from the mindset of bass>filter>everything else. My impression was that I was doing it "wrong" if i placed the Aftershock before the C4 since the C4 had its own dirt section. Lets just toss that attitude right out the window...

I was using the simple Light OD preset i use for everything but reggae, and all of my C4 filters now had some extra hair, life, bloom, etc.. What a difference! From what i could tell, with the Aftershock disengaged - there were no real negative effects on the C4 presets by not being the first in the chain. Me likey so far!

I just moved my compressor to after my C4 and I'm liking that a lot as well. I was using Comp>OD>C4>Delay but switched it to OD>C4>Comp>Delay.

I can see how people are using the SA comp and routing it both at the beginning and end of the chain. THat would be convenient here.

I've played with using one channel of the Atlas at the beginning of my chain and one later on. But seems a bit noisy to me, so I think it creates a ground loop in my case. Curious if anyone has done this successfully without noise?

I've heard that as well interested in hearing peopled opinion of using both channels of these pedals because I'm interested in doing the same

Do find less accurate tracking? eg octaves? I love some od with octaves and run C4 into UW. My set up works well with this. Not sure what a swap could actually achieve?

I'm interested too. Using the Atlas as two comps sounds amazing if it works in practice.

Schmidt Array if you can stomach the price. There's also a fair bit of room under Temple Audio boards, especially if you get the mounting frames that straddle the edges, but they do get you on accessories.

I'm thinking it needs to be something like this, which keeps everything below deck.

I use a Creation Music Company tiered Aero board. There is space underneath the board itself for cable runs but also underneath the riser if you needed that too.
For a board like the one you posted you could do a lot worse than Pedalpad. Built like a tank and plenty of under-board wiring room.

Havent really gone that far yet. I have an octaver on only one preset and I dont use that very often. Some of my synth, organ and envelope patches sounded killer with a little OD up front. Again, my thinking was that "you must have clean bass going into a filter" - even though I know my 3Leaf Wonderlove sounds amazing with the You're Doom in the loop. I hadn't thought of putting some dirt in front of the C4. I imagine it wont work for all presets but for the few I tried I loved the results.

I do have a few C4 tracking issues with my 6 string Dingwall. I'm tuned ACGCFBb so the pitches get a little funky every now and then on that bass.

I have yet to try any other routing on any of the SA pedals than what is standard. I've thought about having the Atlas first, but I really dont use heavy comp anyway, just enough to cut the freaky peakies. I really need to dive deeper into the routing options. Creating presets suitable for live use takes enough work as it is, lol...

Light OD into an Octave really elevates the Octave effect. I love that tone.
