You have to both save the preset into the cloud and burn it to a slot in your pedal. Each time you make changes you have to reburn the patch.
Having used other systems where pedals over wrote my patch with rubbish 5 min before show time the extra stage you have to take does make sense.

It took me a while to work out too - but The UI on Neuro3 makes it a bit clearer than it used to be.

This is what I do with the Ultrawave. I don't have a C4, but I would expect the process to be pretty much the same.

Yes I think so.
It confused me at first too - because it’s so easy to click on a preset and start fiddling it catches you out that the save function is more complex!
Save it to the your cloud first and then burn the preset to the pedal second it will pop up the window asking you which location you want to save it in.

As far as EQ and feedback, are the offending frequencies a moving target depending on the room, speaker placement, etc., or are there known frequencies for feedback? From what I've read, it's a moving target?

Very room and mic dependent, yes. If you have a good sound person they will ring you out if you're having issues. But that's a luxury I've not always had haha.

However, it's usually lower frequencies that are most problematic with a DB. An aggressive high-pass set at 40 Hz like you currently have is a good start, but bumping that up to 50 or 60 might be even better. Those lowest frequencies are not projected as well by the bass' body acoustically and may be overrepresented in a pickup signal, so cutting them may not hurt your sound or your presence in the mix. Worth experimenting with at least.

Unfortunately saving a new preset to my library in the app doesn't work. At first the sound is as I programmed it but when I try to burn it to the pedal the gated fuzz level goes back from 50% to 0%. Everything else is still the same.

I'm not sure what I can do at this point. I'm very bummed out to say the least. I realize it's Christmas and I'm sure the Source Audio crew is going on a well deserved holiday so I'm hopeful to be able to get this figured out after the holiday.

To be clear @rsmith601 I'm a huge SA fan. What you guys have accomplished is amazing! I have a peq2 and a c4 on my board. I have a hub, collider and a Soleman on its way. I'm hoping that my expression pedal is compatible. I feel that this board will accomplish most of my tone goals and needs.

I think it's possible my pedal is defective and the fact that it is used makes me nervous that I'm not ever going to be able to use it to its full capacity and I'm just going to be out the $$$ I paid for it. Hence my paper weight comment. Sometimes when I get nervous and anxious I lash out. Probably not the best thing to do on a public forum in a thread about, deservedly, how great the Source Audio ecosystem is. So for that I do apologize Roger. I know you're very passionate about you and your company's revolutionary work and I certainly respect that.

Hopefully everyone enjoys and has a safe holiday.

Does this only happen to a parameter, where its value is controlled by a specific knob (or any knob)?

I had the thought that if that knob had a dirty or wonky pot, it might be generating some relatively constant "noise"/random values which overrides the preset's set value.

You could try just working the pot for a minute or two to "clean" it. Try turning the knob to full clockwise or full counterclockwise before loading the preset. to see if the knob's squirrelly-ness quiets down. Then call your preset and see if it holds the value without changing.

The pedal is setup in preset mode. The value changes when I burn the preset to the pedal. Once the preset is burned the distortion(gated fuzz) mix is at 0% instead of the 50% i wanted to save it as. That's why I'm thinking the issue is with the pedal itself. However I'm not super knowledgeable about these things. So it could be anything. Hopefully I'll be able to get this figured out when or before I get my other SA pedals delivered.

When the C4 has misbehaved for me in the past it's been a power issue or I've had to do a factory reset then load my presents in again and that's sorted it.

Can the EQ2 be used as an A/B box? I've tried with no success. I want to put an electric bass through Input 1, put my upright through Input 2, eq each Input separately, and then use the presets to A/B between the basses making the other Input mute. I tried but the Input 2 bled through somehow and I was getting feedback from the upright. I've tried several configurations, like muting Inputs, but I can't figure it out. I ended up buying a Boss LS-2 to get the job done.

Can someone at SA please help me with this issue? I attached pics of the settings I tried in Post #16,944.

Just a heads up...

I expect that there is a way to setup a "toggle" between the #1 & #2 channels with the SA Tap Tempo Switch. I'm not sure how to do it, but it is almost certainly the answer you need.

Give them a bit to get back to you during the holidays while many may have things going on at this moment. (My thanks above was started 2 weeks ago and just finished the work to conclude the issue.)

I was just thinking also...you could possibly do this in the (4) PRESETS, as well.

Preset #1 = Channel ONE

Preset #2 = Channel TWO

In each Preset, mute the other channel

Scroll the presets to get to the one needed for electric Bass and Upright Bass?

I still think the one stomp on the SA Tap Tempo Switch to do it would be easier, but $39.99 more.

I strongly suggest engaging with [email protected] for specialized support. Someone needs to carefully walk through what you are doing to see if there is something off. I would be surprised if something like this is a defective pedal. Does not sound like it to me from what you have said. For switching channels, first split mode needs to be enabled, and then the external switch options set to channel swap (if mono, or input select or output seect if stereo and depending on what your trying to do) and use the external switch, or set the on/off switch to option 8 and use the onboard switch instead.

I recently got a C4 and I'm having lots of fun with it. Obviously output differences between basses make a difference.
How do you guys deal with that?
