Patch depending. Crank the input gain or reduce it. Makes a massive difference in tracking and soundsI recently got a C4 and I'm having lots of fun with it. Obviously output differences between basses make a difference.

I just use the same patches even though I will use different basses for gigs. Tends to work out alright for me personally. Funnily enough my passive NR t bird is hotter than my active basses I use so it's not even a case of whether it's active or passive that makes a difference really.Yes I've noticed that. Thanks, this is all helpful. I'll play with increasing that HPF.Very room and mic dependent, yes. If you have a good sound person they will ring you out if you're having issues. But that's a luxury I've not always had haha.
However, it's usually lower frequencies that are most problematic with a DB. An aggressive high-pass set at 40 Hz like you currently have is a good start, but bumping that up to 50 or 60 might be even better. Those lowest frequencies are not projected as well by the bass' body acoustically and may be overrepresented in a pickup signal, so cutting them may not hurt your sound or your presence in the mix. Worth experimenting with at least.
You can run the expression pedal into the HUB and use the TRRS connections off the HUB to the Nemesis.Im thinking about getting a Midi Mouse to use with the Hub. If I wanted to setup an expression pedal for swells where would I hook it up to? The Hub? Directly to the Nemesis? Do I need a Midi pedal with more functions?

I was just thinking also...you could possibly do this in the (4) PRESETS, as well.
Preset #1 = Channel ONE
Preset #2 = Channel TWO
In each Preset, mute the other channel
Scroll the presets to get to the one needed for electric Bass and Upright Bass?
I still think the one stomp on the SA Tap Tempo Switch to do it would be easier, but $39.99 more.

The SA 168 midi adapter goes TRS IN to TRRS OUT & Midi THRU TRS. The UW must use the TRRS connections. The SA 168 can connect directly to your 5 DIN Midi control device. The Midi Thru 1/8" TRS is designed to daisy chain to another SA 168 for another SA pedal, but can be used to connect to any other Midi devices with the appropriate adapter cabeling.I have my Ultrawave Bass connected to the MIDI out from my HX One via an SA168, but I’d like to simplify the connection a bit: right now it’s a regular 5 pin MIDI DIN cable into the supplied DIN to TRS cable. I’d like to just use a male DIN to TRS cable directly from the HX One, but I don’t know if that would work or which standard (A or B?) I need to get. This would reduce a lot of unnecessary cabling on my board.
Also, would this same cable work if connected to the MIDI through jack on the SA168 to the MIDI in to the HX One? I.e., if my MIDI controller plugged into the stock cable plugged into the MIDI in on the SA168, then the MIDI through port to the HX One?
It’s unlikely that I would also put my aftershock on my board with the UW or want to control my NUX Melvin Lee Davis via MIDI, but I don’t want to rule it out, either, so I am just interested to understand my routing options.

How you want to connect the Midi beyond the must use TRRS to the UW is up to you...
I’m not trying to bypass the SA168, I’m just trying to replace the MIDI DIN female to TRS cord with a DIN male.Don't think you can bypass the SA168 for MIDI control. Only other options are the SA hub or a USB host controller.
