(In my scenario, imagine replacing "Neuro In" with the 1/8" TRRS connection from the SA Midi adapter at the top of the pedal)

NEURO 3 DESKTOP EDITOR - FOR USE WITH ALL ONE SERIES PEDALS & THE NEURO HUB

Neuro 3 is an all-in-one application that supports all Source Audio effect pedals with USB ports. It also connects to the USB port of the Neuro Hub and provides editing capabilities to all pedals connected to the Hub. Create and manage presets, edit hardware options and MIDI mappings, and backup your presets and settings while connected to multiple pedals at once. Connect to a Neuro 3 Mobile App account directly through the Neuro 3 Desktop Editor to access a cloud-based library and browse community-created presets.

I believe that confusion could be in the area of setting up midi mapping in the Nuero Editor 3 and midi command communication with the TRRS/5 DIN execution. It doesn't appear that this type of jack connection is involved with PC/CC messages being relayed to pedals if this is your relied upon assumption? The jacks keep the pedals connected with only one USB cable to your device running Nuero Editor 3 and not needing to hook each pedal up and address it in the Nuero Editor 3 if I understand correctly.

I tend to use the loop routings on the pedals so this could be why I've never explored this type of feature?

I would totally do a support ticket directly to show your board, what is connected under the board and exectly what you want to do and be able to show some screenshots on your Nuero Editor 3 settings.

I'll bet it's a simple fix...

This seems to indicate that the #2 channel TRS jack is only used with the USB port connected to the Nuero Editor 3 and can be used to do anything with midi mapping, but has no interaction with PC/CC midi controller commands or HUB scenes using proprietary midi control functions executed by a standard midi controller.


Three separate types of actions:

(1) USB to HUB = Preset Control Only

(2) USB to pedal(s)-(w/ or w/o Nuerolink TRS Jacks) = All Nuero Editor 3 Pedal Functions

(3) Midi Connection(s) TRRS SA168/HUB/5 DIN = Full Pedal PC/CC commands + HUB Stored Scene Call Up

I do, in fact, have a midi controller with USB output, but I still couldn’t get the Neuro daisy chain to work (I wouldn’t have been able to control my HX One, anyway).

This was a useful exercise, thanks. I’m not currently in the market for another SA pedal, but I am always on the lookout for a cheap C4 or Spectrum. However, today I think that confirms that that also requires budgeting for either another midi adapter or a Neuro hub.

I have a Nuero HUB OTW and have one used and one new SA168. I'm so down with having three (3) SA pedals that do so much, it boggles the mind...

A used Neuro hub is not much more expensive than a new SA168: the economics kind of speak for themselves. However, the question is whether or not ~$215-300 (depending) would make a significant improvement over my current filter/octaver/synth situation.

Or to put more simply: I use those effects in my sound, but I’m not precious about those effects in my sound, so what is cost/benefit of upgrading? Basically, if the cost passes a low enough threshold, that changes the algebra. But knowing all of the variables upfront is essential.

The whole HUB scene thing with adjustable parameters, in a catalog memory and availability of presets from community contributions, is just cool...

I cannot think of a pedal that I would add (beyond a couple small format pedals I already have) to this SA Monster Squad...and OPUS.

Obviously, as a business idea, with what is out there, a processor as you describe is not likely to do well, due to being a money pit with little ROI.

What has surprised me is how you have done so little research in your questions regarding capabilities you seek and what you desire in your dream processor?

I'm glad to see recent UI developments, a new pedal (that I have no personal use for but is an amazing idea for others) and the level of direct customer support that is provided. I just don't see the need to move from what is working well to a waste of time and money.

Research for me has been a game changer in my rig.

I actually saw an in-house person on a thread about two months ago taking about this after our last exchange. It appears that they have discussed this topic. However, there is much involved in getting from there to here on a project of this nature. Agreed, they clearly know what's up in making it happen.

SA will be releasing another pedal at some point having shown a prototype at NAMM '25. It is called Encounter if you are not aware. It's a Collider type format with the wilder side of Delay/Reverb. I believe there was mention of a Harmonizer function as well in the box.

Having the best, no bugs UI experience, a really nice product line with a super price point and the best sound quality = market expansion and market share and not trying to do an "also ran" product extension with high development costs and production outside of the recognized space.

Anyone can have an awesome SA system on a pedalboard with amazing support and get what they want at the high fedility buffet, baby!

The real downside is that guitarists are the market.

Yes, I use the midi through on the SA adapter to go to my HX One. That part is fine. My question was about this:

Basically, is the SA Midi adapter turning the MIDI commands into SA'a Neuro messages? Or are these completely different interfaces from each other?

No, that’s a propriatary code, using audio bleeps and bloops to communicate data bursts. Not the same as midi, and there’s no way to make one pedal recieving midi transmit to the other pedals using that method.

This is an interesting question. We always think we need to prioritize making deep and wide pedals that offer years of exploration and fun. Artifakt is insane. You will never find something like that inside an all-in-one unit. Once we kill all the important categories.....we might go there.

I recently got a C4 with a DMC Micro and I have been waiting for soundcheck to go full release before fully populating it with presets. it will be so much easier to audition presets and pick them instead of having to load them into your pedal first. also looking forward to my new pedal I won ;-) Source Audio is totally my favorite company right now.

I recently got a C4 with a DMC Micro and I have been waiting for soundcheck to go full release before fully populating it with presets. it will be so much easier to audition presets and pick them instead of having to load them into your pedal first. also looking forward to my new pedal I won ;-) Source Audio is totally my favorite company right now.

Google play page says soundcheck now supports all presets. so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my android phone and the full soundcheck is there! all the presets have the soundcheck icon. the windows and mac apps do not appear to have the full soundcheck yet. I can assume you guys are working on it.......looks like we will need to DL and install new versions?

Any solutions for this? Trying to open on a Windows 11 AMD PC, fresh install and reboot.
