Some friends of mine asked me to demo a few sounds from my SA pedals for them, so I shot a video with my Ipad. The sound quality isn't ideal, but it gives you a general idea. There is a fair amount of talking because they wanted a discussion of the setup. Be kind...

I'm not really sure what I did here, but it's only a few hours until gig time and I would love to find out how to switch it back. So, while screwing around with the dimension reverb, I held down the right footswitch while the left channel was engaged to see if anything cool happened like on he orbital (engages tap tempo on the orbital). Instead, the right channel lit up, bypassing my input signal. It seems as though I've turned the dimension reverb into a mute switch. Now, I can't seem to switch it back by holding either footswitch. Help!

I've only the Dimension Reverb and the Orbital Modulator. Love them both!

Tried hooking my SA expression pedal up to my M9 today on a whim. All the literature says it won't work,....but,..lo and behold,.....it did!!! I was very pleasantly surprised. I used a regular 1/4" cable, not TRS, and it worked like a charm. I'm using the mini plug out on the other side for my SA BEF pro and SB2 MWBD. Seems they are all happy, and best of all, so am I !

Here's a little clip from this weekends show with me using a Classic Distortion Pro (Octave Fuzz) into a BEF Pro with my HH2 on my hand controlling the wobbles and a HH3 on the Expression input controlling frequency. So when the next rises, the frequency lowers. I don't go down low too much because that doesn't cut thur the mix as well. This is GoPro audio, so if sounded even better and stronger live.

Everytime I do this it's always a little different and this time I really got the wobble to a hyper speed at about 0:23-0:25 on the clip. that's the first time I've heard it hit that tempo.

And the end of the song you can hear the HH3 controlling the frequency with the neck movements the best

Update on my previous post. I powered the board up again last night and found that the SA exp pedal and Line 6 M9 did NOT communicate properly. The info/crosstalk/whatever wasn't "saved" I guess. However, after resetting the exp pedal and M9 again, it worked properly. A bit of a hassle, but I guess it is possible to use the SA with the M9, just don't forget to recalibrate your pedal with any M9 patches each time you power up your board. :hmm:

Does anyone have any advice on using the MWBD Pro? I'm finding myself preferring my Aguilar Agro, ZVEX Mastotron and Digitech BSW for driving the BEF Pro for wobbles and such. The only real use I've had for it lately is as a clean boost with some EQing. I really want to get use out of the 6 presets for some more synthy distortion. Should I just be looking for an Akai Deep Impact or is that barking up the wrong tree?

The thing I tend to say to lots of people is "if you are going for traditional distortion forget the MWBD". It's not that the pedal can't do it, it just not were it shines. That is maybe one of the reasons you find the agro to be more to your liking.
Now, there are two things where the MWBD is the BEF's best friend. One is just going plain nuts with the noisiest, nastiest, most awfully sounding distortion you can manage and that gives you very defined whobbles. The other is using the MWBD modes that already have some modulation and using the BEF to either augment the range, mimic the modulation at another frequency or kind of modulate in the opposite direction to get a really weird sound.

Foldback and Octave settings are where to look. If you are not getting the right tones, then contact Will Cady here at Source Audio and we will get you going.

What rsmith said. Also, try to resist the urge to blend to much clean sound. While it is good to have some clean, adding to much leads to a sound that seems like two unrelated things instead of a bass with fx.
The EQ can be important too, try extreme boosting and/or cutting of individual frequencies to get a notion of how they are affected by the BEF.
