That's with the Frequency at minimum, and Depth = Noon (no envelope). One thing with the SA filters is the Frequency knob works slightly differently than many other filters. The Frequency is the CENTER frequency and not the starting frequency. So, in this particular case you can dial in a down-sweep and drive the Frequency even deeper. With the right settings I'm going to guess you wouldn't be able to tell that the filter was moving at all and it'd simply sound like an even deeper, more rolled off static filter. And with that knowledge I'd want to go through and try other filter voices, this was simply the one that sounded the best with no envelope in play at all.

With all of that said, picture that heavily rolled off filter voice, then blended with your clean signal. It'd be adding a super sub-low monster tone under your normal bass tone. I'd never have thought of trying that until typing this up.

So many options. :)

I finally got a chance to try out the BEF pro and it's super good too. it's similar to the manta, but the layout is a bit different (I find it a little easier to get around on) and it's capable of a few different things. owning both of them might be a little redundant but neither one of mine are going anywhere, (except to gigs :)). IMO, both are awesome pedals.

My pleasure. :) I used to make clips a lot, but have been seriously slacking the last 6+ months.

Listening back to it I probably could've set the filter open a bit more, and boosted the output volume (was set around 1 O'clock if I recall). But you hit a point where those sub-lows start to clip the input on your amp, and each amp will handle that differently. I also could've tried to hit the 3 like a real reggae player would. :p

Kick drum on the 3... the bass can bounce around a bit carrying the melody.

I thought the low pass roll off sounded great... could have boosted the output volume a bit, I think the Mantra will be appearing on a pedal board in Sebastopol (otherwise known as sopasthebowl) real soon.

Thank you for the number!

Wow. I got my HH3 and I was blown away. I was like Honey, I shrunk the effects pedal.
I was a little disappointed because the pictures I saw on the website and eBay looked like a regular sized pedal. I opened the box and thought they forgot to put it in there!
I was clueless this thing was was this small! I'm going to have to keep small kids away from it! I haven't used it yet because I'm waiting for another pedal (POG2) before I reconfigure. That was supposed to be here Thursday and it won't get here till Monday. Weekend wasted.
