Source Audio Sourcerers Society (S.A.S.S.) Pt 2

Hey guys, I recently picked up a BEF Pro and was looking around to see if there is a thread where anybody has compiled user presets. I'm trying to get the banks full of a variety of sounds just to get started.

:D

Arrrgh... :D

I actually have been replacing the rusty box tones with the VMT more and lately. And I keep thinking about experimenting with the OFD>Mantra>Orbital lineup, but really need to sell some pedals to get these. So, the RB and Psilocybe will likely appear in the classifieds.

I haven't tried a VMT, but I have heard on this forum that the OFD can get pretty close to the same tones.
for me, the Rusty B is just a bit too bright and sterile sounding, much like the Traynor amp that it's based on. IMO, it can do clean very well, but for me it's dirt is pretty harsh, but since distortion is so subjective, others seem to like it though.

BUT. caveats and shizz. i use my Rusty (OH GAWD I LOVE YOU BAYBAY) as a pre into a power amp.

so..... yah. YURP.

Will Source Audio be offering an 1/4"-to-1/8" adapter for those who want to use the Manta or other SB2 pedals with an expression pedal that doesn't have the special 1/8" output?

A lot of people, myself included, want to use an expression pedal with the Manta, but I'd prefer not to have to buy the SA Dual Expression pedal just to do so if I've already got an expression pedal that I'm happy with (especially if the SA expression pedal isn't compatible with other pedals that I'm already using an expression pedal with.)

Very excited for the Manta though - any idea when the manual will be online, or at least a list of the individual filter types?

i've got an SA dual out expressiony, seems to work fine with everything that the Moog and Mission expressioners i have control. so.... i wouldna worry about that i think?

any adapter's gonna be adding a bit of space taking, just me mebbe, but i'd look into a 1/4 inch -> 1/8 inch wired trs cable before i'd go the adapter route.

It doesn't work with Eventide pedals, or at least it didn't with my Pitchfactor.

A 1/4"-1/8" TRS cable would also be perfect, and after reading the Manta manual, I realized that the Hub will have a standard expression pedal input, which would also solve my problem. Still involves buying another piece of gear, but it does offer a lot of other fun possibilities otherwise.

Weird. I tried one with my Pitchfactor (soon to be replaced by an H9 thanks to Prymaxe's 20%-off xmas sale, woo) and it was pretty much unusable.

Maybe it depends on which patch/mode - I was using it for Whammy stuff with the Pitchflex mode, it was a no go. For other stuff I'm sure it's fine.
