Got to play with the HH3 hooked up to the Xerograph. I don't think I'm experiencing the issues that bhendy is...it seems very responsive to me. Digging it, makes me want a compressor to put in front of my Octaver so iI can sustain the Octaver a little better on the high notes.

I think you can make out my settings from these two pics. It's important to note that the default axis when using the expression output is the X axis, so if you aren't moving the ring in that direction, your sweeps will be erratic. It reacts pretty accurately for me, though the x axis isn't my favorite so I'll probably change it to the Y axis. I haven't yet altered any of the default factory settings other than the knobs. I'll try to post a quick video tomorrow night if you're still having issues.

Thank you for that note! I read the manual last night and figured that as well. Hahahaha. I had no idea there were different axis points. So awesome and strange at the same time.

Just found a sb2 mwbd for only 110 on ebay. Needless to say I instantly bought it. The guy said he used it one time for a demo recording. Lucky me! Free shipping too.

He said he's selling one of the sa expression pedals too for $60 If you guys are interested.

I was going to put it in hot deals but they dont allow non-store ebay listings... hope one of you are able to take advantage!

I would probably buy it but I'm not big into expression pedals.... hot hand is all I need! for now anyways. :D

it's pretty damn cool. let's you do cleaner breaks then you can tapping and go a bit faster since it's all one hand fret squishin's with the ring.

we used a tiny bit of gaffer's tape to secure it to a stick a bit above where he holds his hand.

hi-hat was cool, ride and cymbals was neat too.

So you attach the hh to his stick? that's awesome.

yeah. it worked out well. we were going to do this cheesy thing where i wobble for a few phrases, then take off the ring and throw it to him, he puts it on his stick, hilarity ensues.

took too long for him to tape it on and it kept sliding off if he didna tape it..... so we're just going to pretape one to his stick and kinda fake him attaching it live. see how it goes this Friday.

So I got my BEF Pro today! That thing is amazing!!! Tones of options! I love it! The voicing is perfect for what I've been trying to achieve.

One question though. Has anyone else noticed volume drops on the BEF Pro with the Hot Hands going? It's VERY responsive to the HH3, which is awesome, but the volume does drop way down.

That's not something I've experienced with the BEF Pro before.

When you set it to maximum dry, does the signal still drop off?

Some of the wackier settings on the effect selector may interact with the Hot Hand in such a way that it sounds like the volume is dropping. Try setting it to one of the Single Peak filter types and see if that helps.

Also, make sure that the Frequency Knob is set somewhere between 40 and 60 percent.
