Source Audio Spectrum Inteligent Filter!!!

I have the C4, but this is relevant because I'm talking about the filters here. Have had the C4 since it came out, but only really messed with user presets and tweaked those. So the C4 didn't make my board until very recently. I also have a 3Leaf Wonderlove, Micrtron III, IE XD, and Moog MF-101. The first of those three usually do envelope duties, but I like them all for different reasons. Anyway, I finally watched Zach Rizer's deep dive on the editor & spent some time going through each and every filter they have in the menu. I found one in particular that I absolutely love, and the tweakability, low end retention, fatness, and responsiveness is amazing. Dare I say this is the filter sound that's in my head...
Any way to cross it over?!?!

Which filter did you land on? And if you upload your preset to the Neuro Community, I can port it over to the Spectrum for @Johno Dunn.

Nice. What Spectrum preset is the first one?

Both samples were using my Piggie PEP Revisited patch. I'm kinda stuck on that one at the moment. :D

Yeah, I'll upload it and report back today so you can cross it over. May not sound particularly special to anyone here, but it's just the exact kind of meat, resonance, and response that I want.

Here's a quick sample...

That's definitely a good solid envelope filter sound, and very much how I remember the 3Leaf GR1 and GR2 sounding. At least in my head. I still have my Proton V2 around for exactly that reason. A good thick, meaty filter sound.

Maybe that's why I like it. I loved my GR2 and stupidly sold it. My only thing was that I sometimes had a hard time balancing fatness on the bottom with snap on top - it kinda leaned one way or the other. I love being able to really fine tune the clarity, clean blend, sensitivity, etc. on the Spectrum/C4.

Great sound !!! Yes, please upload !

@jibreel and anyone else interested, I've got @Grahams Groove's Koolaid Man Fat Filter patch ported from C4 over to the Spectrum.

Graham, nice job on that patch. Simple, but very tasty! Glad I could help get it to the Spectrum users, and I made sure to credit you in the patch note.

It might be nice to have an Emma Discombobulator presets. Maybe we need to send out unit to 5sg ? :)

Ha! @rsmith601, I admit to being a total envelope filter junkie and have owned or tried 40 now (if you can include the Spectrum as "just one" lol). Oddly though, the Emma has always been on my list, but I just never got around to checking one out. They're on V2 now, and Juan did a demo... I'll dig into his video and see what I can come up with. I think my favorite sound from that video is at 3:46.

Awesome! I think our unit is at least a year old. Let me know if you need it.

I sure appreciate the offer, but I've already got a couple DiscumBOBulator patches going! Based on Juan Alderete's demo of the V2 and kind of a small tribute in my own way, given his current medical condition. :( Emma DiscumDOWNulator is done, just need to do audio sample. DiscumUPulator patch is still in the works. (I should break down and get the V2 anyway. ha ha)

Also have a Filter Twin patch mostly done, just experimenting with down filter or up filter first before I do an audio sample for that one.

I even took a whack at recreating @Quatschmacher's fancy Manta patch without the external loop feature, for those that either don't have the pedals or board space for dedicating just to that loop. Maybe needs a bit of tweaking, but it's really close, and it's even a Spectrum patch!

Look forward to hearing it. I did some non-loop versions myself a while ago and uploaded them. Check my patches called “Manta Afterimage”.

I'll definitely take a look, maybe after I get mine done... see how they compare. Yours is a C4 patch though, so it leaves out the Spectrum users. ;);)

I realise this. I suppose it could be easily reconstructed but I don't have a Spectrum so I think I can't upload it to the cloud if I were to make it on an offline Spectrum editor, otherwise I'd happily do it. That is one downside about the pair of pedals with C4 patches that would to all intents and purposes be replicable on Spectrum not being able to be loaded straight onto it.

I'll take a look at yours before I finish mine then... I have both pedals, so I can port yours over to the Spectrum directly, and I'll make sure to credit you in the patch notes.

If mine is pretty close, I'll just take it in a different direction! No sweat.

Sorry for the delay, fellow filter friends... I'm truly thankful that I've been able to stay as busy during quarantine as I have! Still gainfully employed (for now anyway) and some music collaborations going on.

I got a nice batch of patches uploaded to the Neuro Community for your perusal... A couple Emma DiscumBOBulator patches based on Juan Alderete's youtube demo (wishing him a speedy recovery!), an Aguilar Filter Twin model, and The Dirty Manta, similar to @Quatschmacher's Manta External Loop patch with fuzz and octave, but without the requirement of the external loop for those that don't have the pedals or pedalboard space to do so. I also got his Manta Afterimage patches ported over to the Spectrum as well.

All freshly uploaded to the Neuro Community library.
