Source Audio Spectrum Inteligent Filter!!!

Sorry for the delay friends, life sure happened!

Got a patch put together for the Seamoon sound... Called "Seamoon's Funk" on the Neuro. Pretty cool sound, another win on the Spectrum. Checking out the Brecker's Heavy Metal Be-Bop also added to the list!

As always, you'll need to adjust input gain and sensitivity to your personal gear/play style.

@Les Fret I'll check out your presets for it a.s.a.p. Wanted to stay unbiased when I made mine!

Like it! Just tried it. It has quite a bit of low filter. I have uploaded my 4th Seamoon preset today. What do you think? are we getting there?

Indeed it does, because that's the way I interpreted Neil's sound in that video. But my patch is pretty touch sensitive, so I found that when I dug in, I could really get some quack going.

I still haven't had a chance to check out your sounds yet, will compare notes a.s.a.p.!

You guys are killing me...
:D

Should be available 3/19/20.
I ordered 3 pedals- this was the only one not replacing something and the only one backordered. The anticipation is good...right?;):smug:

Your lucky. I had to wait a few month for my C4...and when I got it...it literally kicked three other pedals off my board (including my MXR bass Octave deluxe). Was it worth the wait?...it sure was. Mine arrived 23rd Sept 2019...so far it's been the best purchase of 2019 and 2020 by a long way.

I have a question:
Can the knobs on the hardware pedal be assigned to different functions? I want to have the output volume on the pedal on the main knob function not on the alt function. I think it is not convenient to have volume on the alt function because that is the one function that needs the most adjustment on stage or rehearsal. Is it possible?

That date is, so far, only projected;)

First world problems. I didnt "need" a Hyperluminal to replace a Boss CS2 or an Aftershock to replace TS9 but, ya know:smug:
The only pedal(minus an HPF and perhaps a dedicated octave...and a Miku) truly missing and desired was a filter... Just wanting to lay down some 70's funk and nail the sound on Sabbath's NIB...

The C4 seems to be doing well for you and so many others...
Dont currently seek synth stuff ( I am primarily a keyboardist with Sequential circuits, Ensoniq, Korg, Casio and Roland boards) have spent many hours on keyboards trying to cop a real bass sound- don't want to go 180 degrees at this point.

Somehow I see a C4 in next 6-12 months.

Still really digging your board. I am lame and going to take the commercial route for now(next purchase)

What parameters should one set to an expression pedal to cover manual wah pedal effects? If this has been answered already my apologies. A link to the specific post would be appreciated.

external modulation in the expression assignment section of the app/editor, make sure you have the mod source set to 100% LFO.

control one and two can be reassigned in the editor, output is an option.

Really? That's great! how do I do that exactly? And if I reassign volume to say control knob 2 where does depth go (the function that is there at default)? Or do I then have two knobs assigned to volume? (knob 2 and knob 4 alt).
They can't be interchanged?
You’d have 2 knobs, depth would be overwritten. Open the app, and scroll all the way to the bottom, knob assignment is there.

Close to the original or not, I really like all of the Seamoon patches that popped up in the community presets. A very cool sounds. Thanks a lot for your efforts. I love good envelope filters on the C4.

Actually, while the C4 can do so much, my favorite sounds are definitely straight envelope filters and basic monophonic sounds with filters on them. Could play around with these all day.

Thanks @moishelichtfuss, and I agree... all great Seamoon patches! Although I've still only had barely a few minutes with the other ones. The community presets are the best things about the Source Audio pedals. I feel like the C4 may be getting a little bit more focus because it's synth and synth is BIG right now, but the Spectrum library does seem to be growing. I'm a filter junkie and the Spectrum is scratching more itches than I even thought it would, even despite also having a C4.

Yes, it's the most irrational feeling to kind of want a pedal (the Spectrum) that I already own theoretically (with the C4). Luckily, mild OCD and pedalboard space restrictions tell me: The board is full, all is optimized, there's no more space. It's fine…calm down. :)

Yeah it's great that we can share presets!! I encourage everyone to do so. There are some nice presets on there already. Hope it can remove my GAS for a Seamoon pedal! Really like that sound.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Make sure and share your fav presets on the Neuro Community!

Loved both tracks!

The second, with the Brown Acid was Legit soundtrack material - out of the box. Great playing, fantastic sound.

Thank you much!

I've really been enjoying exploring pedal combos lately, which the Stomp has really enabled. That along with MIDI on my pedalboard controlling a variety of things, including the C4. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Spectrum might get swapped into the place of my Pigtronix just to satisfy my curiosity.

The next revision of my board will also most likely see the Superego I got myself for Christmas swapping in place of the Funk Face I have on there as a placeholder at the moment, so that should make things even more interesting.

I have the C4, but this is relevant because I'm talking about the filters here. Have had the C4 since it came out, but only really messed with user presets and tweaked those. So the C4 didn't make my board until very recently. I also have a 3Leaf Wonderlove, Micrtron III, IE XD, and Moog MF-101. The first of those three usually do envelope duties, but I like them all for different reasons. Anyway, I finally watched Zach Rizer's deep dive on the editor & spent some time going through each and every filter they have in the menu. I found one in particular that I absolutely love, and the tweakability, low end retention, fatness, and responsiveness is amazing. Dare I say this is the filter sound that's in my head...
