Southampton Pedals show some love thread!!

I dare you to come visit Quebec City and call it just another town w an industrial park and strip malls... ;) An if you come, when the confinement is over, I'll gladly offer you a beer somewhere in the old town and make you visit. If it's in the summer, you won't want to leave, but be prepared for the winter though! We couls still have snow these days....

oh yeah don’t get me wrong I love Canada. My company has an office in Mississauga, hence my comment that it depends on where ya go. Mississauga is a great place, just not much different from suburban anywhere was the point I was trying to make.

Even been to Cape Breton? One of the best places in Canada. Nothing suburban about it

Outside of Mississauga Ive been to both Toronto and Montreal a few times. Always great experiences. There are tons of great places I want to visit, and every now and then this country makes me want to move to Canada but in the end I'm a New Yorker through and through. From the beaches to the city to the hamptons and vineyards and subruban traffic and stripmalls too...something about the pace in the New York tri-state area that Ive grown to need. And New York has a breathtaking upstate region also for when I want to get away that offers nature and skiing...every place has its charm I suppose. I do fantasize about moving to Aruba and opening a floaties business on the beach or something really light like that.


Edit to bring it back to topic - the pedals coming out of canada is interesting though...so much quality...why is that? I still LOVE my v1 5th gear and I can never see that leaving my board. Ictineo also...just magic.

I don't think I'll choose to migrate right now, I have work and family here. But it would be my first choice of course. I don't know a lot about Canada, never been there, but it always attracted me more than other places, for many many reasons. My second favourite place is Australia. I love animals, I love the nature, I love serenity.
What can I do is plan a vacation with my family, when all this situation will be over.

I think every setting for the phase, chorus and flange sound good. You can't dial in a bad tone imho. When I got it I thought I'd never use the tremolo and then I was fooling around with something, the piano intro to Bohemian Rhapso, and I thought, oh, tremolo! And having all of it in one pedal leaves me more room for compressors and over drives.

So, the awesome @DirtyDuke got me a line on a Utility Knife. I'm excited about it, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I'm not sure I want a jack-of-all-trades modulation pedal. I've already got a chorus pedal, a flanger, and a phaser on my board. The chorus pedal is pretty solid(Strymon Ola), but I'm seeing it's limitations. I'm not a super fan of my flanger(Strymon Orbit). I really dig my phaser(Seymour Duncan Polaron), but it's got a lot of bells and whistles I may not use. I don't think I've ever used tremolo in my life, so that's not a factor. There's not much in the way of demos for bass out there, so I'm relying on you guys for some guidance...

Talk to me about the Utility Knife, please. Thanks!

Any feedback about the Boosted Fuzz on bass? Love the fuzz face tone and would love to get one that plays nice on bass but also haven't really heard any soundclips on bass that aren't the starved off velcro fuzz sound which isn't really what I'm going for. Any experiences, good soundclips etc? I've heard the ones on the Southampton Soundcloud and they're mostly focused on the velcro fuzz sounds. Are those mostly what the pedal is capable of? Thanks!

To be honest it's probably not what u are looking for. It really does the Velcro thing well. But it isn't the most versatile on bass
