that locust star though...I've really built it up in my head. So dying to try it.
For southampton content...anyone own both the v1 and v2 of the 5th gear? I have a v1 and have been GASing on a v2, but curious how they stack up against each other aside from the extra controls. Does the v2 extra functionality justify the larger enclosure or they pretty much sound the same? I love the 5th gear so much.

I'm thinking about getting an Utility Knife and I have a couple of questions.
Does this pedal sound good with bass?
I've tried many modulation pedals that works good with guitar but are too much subtle with bass, even with the mix control maxed out. Is this the case?
How's the headroom? Does it clip when fed with a hot signal?

The UK works great on bass. I know what you mean about subtle and the UK definitely isn’t. Very prominent and capable of cutting through the mix. The Depth knob lets you dial your level in nicely. Tons of headroom. It can get very big and loud sounding. Mine doesn’t clip but my basses don’t have particularly strong signals and I only play in passive. I doubt you’d be disappointed with this pedal.
Thanks. I've tried the Neunaber Expanse (which is awesome with guitar) but most of the modulation effects are not prominent enough even with the Mix maxed out. Some effects don't cut very easily with bass, especially phaser which is one of my favourite effects.
I'd put the UK in the FX loop of my SLO preamp, so clipping wouldn't be a problem, but I'm just asking. So it can also push the signal over unity gain?
I like my Utility Knife, works well with Bass, I appreciate pedals with fewer knobs, Depth and Rate, and all the settings sound good.
Yep! I loved my Utility Knife so much and was sad when I sold it.
I have a ten speed on my board.
What has happened is a few kids, a massive home Reno on Hamish side.

I know you can, of course. The problem is that Customs are always a HUGE drain (literaly), plus international shippings that pass through Customs sometimes are delivered to the buyer after months, sometimes they get lost or stolen. It's a very bad situation that I've experienced at least a couple of times so I prefer to avoid that. It's not your fault of course, I'm just reporting what happened to me personally.

Vacation? I would move there right now and spend my life as the happiest man on earth. I absolutely adore Canada, it's my favourite place in the world. Never been there though, it's just a dream I have since I was a little kid. There's nothing I don't like about Canada. Don't make me think about that!

Canada is cool, but it’s no Aruba. Definitely recommend you visit before moving as Canada is a BIG place and depending on what part you go to, it is just like any other town w an industrial park and strip malls. The people are chill though from my experiences.
