How many satellites can you make in a month?
SpaceX is manufacturing 120 Starlink internet satellites per month.

This is why Elon Musk is absolutely despised by astronomers, and astronomy photographers.
It's completely buggering up the night sky.
I've always enjoyed watching satellites, but it really is getting ridiculous now.
That's why they've put the "sun shades" on the last couple of batches of satellites. It's getting to the point, or will soon, that there'll be a need for "traffic cops" in low Earth orbit as well as a "sanitation department" to clean up space junk.
Yeah, the umbrellas are a start, but may just make the bigger problem invisible - so it's probably a P.R. win, until somebody else figures out a solution.
I know there's been chatter about using nukes to clean up the debris, but I can't really see that being feasible.
I want to be the guy who gets to fire this thing: Debris-Capturing Harpoon Fires in Space for the First Time | Space.

Except, there are no replacements and you are just cloned to ad infinitum.Except that rather than being a remotely controlled drone, there's just you, and a 6 month supply of toilet paper, pulling harpoon duty, and floating around space in a washing machine - until your replacement arrives for their 6 month Nantucket sleigh ride.
