Ugh. That's the catch when a cable suspension system starts to come apart. If one goes, the others take on more weight, then if/when another one goes, it can turn into a slow-motion set of dominoes.

Hope they can get the failures arrested and fixed soon.

There's a remix of Radiohead's song "Videotape" that was recorded directly to VHS videotape, lasts the full 4 hours of the tape, and only one copy exists.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and suggest that it may be impractical to do a remix of that Stones track, that lasts the full duration of that interstellar flight.

No one is actually talking about physically going there... But if you're contemplating it, you could use Warp Speed and you'll be there in a couple hours.

One day, we're going to have to, because the sun will expand as it dies, and vaporise Earths atmosphere.

We'll have to rely on terraforming for a while, but eventually we'll want / need to colonise an Earth-like planet, in another solar system - assuming it's not already occupied when we get there


(Yeah, OK, we can detect that from a long way off, and would probably steer clear of such a conflict, in the highly unlikely event such a situation would ever arise).

That will be a really amazing / challenging time to be alive.

So is it just me? I'm finding myself a little less pumped / psyched for following all the Falcon 9 launches, finally becoming routine, I guess, but really, it's just that Starship's coming hop has all my attention.
