Yes, compared to my Aerodyne and Bass Collection it is heavy. It weighs 5 kg (11 lbs). I think it is acceptable as the bass has got 2 Warmoth truss rod, 6 tuners (not ultralite) etc.
I began to project, planning to make it on my own. I decided on PUs, hardware, wood etc. and ordered everything but in the end as I had 0 experience in woodworking, I could not dare to build it.
It's a local Luthier called Rifat Turen (in Turkish Rıfat Türen) who built it. Great, very skilled luthier, a graduate of Istanbul Technical University Luthery School. Just he promised me to build it in 4 months and it ended in 11 months
which I think something universal among the luthiers 
Thanks. I actually drawn it based on the Udjah-Eye, the all seeing eye, the eye of the Falcon Head god Horus, the god of goodness and skies. The luthier did a great job, it's made of Mother of Pearl. Here's a close up:

A little note: A very known american luthier who saw its picture liked it too. I was glad and I hope to have a bass built by this luthier in the future...
Outstanding bass. Beautifully done! Explorer style basses can be neck-divey (that didn't stop John Entwistle), but whatever, I've always loved the shape. Sexy!

The controls are Master Volume (the closest one to the bridge, I wanted that way to be able to control it with my pinky when I do vibrato on the string to have a violin kinda sound, and yes I know they have already invented something called Volume Pedal
it's a pull/push knob for slap tone as well), Blend (an old habit from my first bass: Bass Collection), Mid and Stacked bass/treble. The blend knob is now an ebony knob instead of stock SD. I will change the others as well..Link Removed
You are right, the pickups are Seymour Duncan Phase II active soap bar (ASB2-6s) with a Seymour Duncan STC-3A preamp for active sets. As you may see in my first post, it's an 18 V. And this set is like a thunder... I hope to prepare soon myspace page for my band and upload some songs that I recorded using this bass.

It's easy up to 19th fret, so I have easy access to the same registry as of a 24 fret with the highest string tuned to G. I wanted higher frets (20 to 24) consciously to be able to do tapping which sounds good on this one...
