Actually that's an Eden EC-15 and is one of the Eden combo's where they use a 4Ω speaker in it to get the maximum power from the amp as-is because it's only a 180-watt amp. If you plug in an extension cab, it disconnects the interior speaker. The only reasonable upgrade path to that is one of their 410 cabs or perhaps the 210 if you want the sound of 10's instead of 15's. It specifically targeted rehearsal spaces and small stages. That speaker should easily handle the power in the amp. I'd be interested to see what he finds.This is a very limited, entry level combo. At higher volume, if you are boosting the bass eq, what you are experiencing is what I would expect. IIRC, it's about 100 watts into the internal speaker and 180 watts with an extension cabinet.
