Didn't want to start a new thread and figured there's some other builders watching - check your local big box store wood section whenever you go in! These weren't necessarily less expensive than a trip to my preferred lumber store, but take a peek at this!

Lightly figured oak, and two boards of figured and Birdseye'd maple I think I'm ready for the next build-off

Yup! If I can't find long enough bridge cables I'll just make it a really wide, ultra-short scale bass
