Jarrod, what would you say, black stain or holoflash?

Really just depends on what you want , the holoflash is a cool finish , but may not sit well in all of your situations . I do a lot of fill in work and it didn't for me . I would go trans black , you can't go wrong there .

I was always a "no pedal" guy.

But yesterday, I just received a Hartke VXL Tone-Shaper/DI.

Getting use to it. I will post some comparison clips soon.

I just wanted to pass along a message I received from AJ from Dickhead Designs. I just ordered a custom nut from him to put on my Rebop5 that will fit the monstrous .145 B string I plan on using since I want to keep it tuned at least a whole step down.

He said to let everyone in the Spector club that we helped provide 2 basses and 1 guitar to kids that will now have the opportunity to learn and enjoy music. This is a really great thing that AJ does and I feel really good to be a part of that so I wanted to pass along the thanks that AJ mentioned.

For anyone that isn't aware, all of the money he gets from creating these custom nuts is given to help support music for kids since most of the schools have cut funding due to cutbacks. I hope it is ok that I posted this but if people have a problem with it, let me know and I can take it down. I just wanted to pass along the thanks that AJ mentioned.

Rex pro over the legend classic, NS2000/5 would be a tough decision. Maybe the Rex though because it looks cooler lol. I like the trans stain over the holo. Wish they did one straight black. I think all the REX's are 35" scale too. It dosent matter to much though. Both have a great B.

I vote NS2000/5 or a Legend Custom if you can find one... I really want to try out a Legend, but I love my new bass soo much, think I might shoot for all 3 colors

Might be hard to answer but....how much nicer is a Euro compared to a Ns2a?

I've heard the NS-2A described as a nice Legend. I've had 2 NS-2As (still have one) and my NS-2JA-R (czech made) is nicer... I love my NS-2A but I will definitely be looking for another Euro made Spector next. I DO think the NS-2A is best band for your buck, generally speaking.

Cool, never seen a factory red. Only blk quilt n holo. Holo does look cool under stage lights though.

There is a trans red quilt NS2000/5 NT at GC for $399. Lots of others I can't make out on my phone lol. The trans blue is still at music go round but is 599. Ouch, but looks pretty.

To be honest , I've only seen two other trans red Rex basses . One 4 and one 5 . Seems like the red and blue stains are the rare ones . Seen several sunbursts . and a few amber .

I'm having some major S.A.S. Where is the best place to buy a Forte? Why do some of you guys buy one and wait 3 months for it?

I know it must be confusing.

The gentlemen that are waiting did a custom order through Basscentral.

I opted out of my custom order and worked out getting the BPL demo model.

Is it weird not having any dots or crowns on the neck of your Forte? I love the look of those basses and I know they sound great.

Its almost worth getting a forte just to know what goes on in the forte club.

I love the crown inlays.

But the no inlays is a very classy look in person.
You get to see fully see the pau ferro and all its Beauty.

It still has the dots on the site of the neck, so I never had that problem.

I have an acoutic guitar with a custom inlay from 7-12. the rest of the neck is bare and I've never had any issues playing the right frets... its been said the side dots help...

Yeah, I'm aware of the side dots.

I just played my bass a bit and when I glance down, I'm looking for the side dots. I can't even see the fretboard dots. I've never noticed that before. Sooooooo I guess that was a silly question.

A lot imo. Same playability but you get all the bells n whistles.

Check bass central. They have a lot of spectors in stock and have great deals. They can do custom orders also.
