It's really not all that big. I'm younger and really don't mind moving the big cab, and the tone is SO worth it. I'm running it completely clean, also, with no pedals. I was considering getting some kind of sans amp, most likely an RBI to go with my Tour 700, but decided that the tone from my bass is more then enough.

If you wanna see big, this is a shot I took before I sold my old Ampeg 810. This rig would be complete overkill for anything I would ever need (as is my MESA, really), but it still looks awesome!

They have 2 different sets available. The dot buster set has the 2 small inlays to cover the dots. The non dot buster set (you have to contact them to get it) has one bigger inlays for the 12 th fret. Use a black & brown sharpie to color the dots n your good.

I not so young, but young enough for a big rig. This is the biggest thing I could get that would fit it a volvo.

Looks awesome! Ive always wanted an SVTIIP, but I've never had one come up locally. They're pricey, too, but theres nothing like an all tube SVT. I've been pretty interested in a Mesa Bass 400plus, but again, can't really find anything locally. Of course, when I do, I don't have the funds to pick it up.

And those cabs look great also, what are they?

Those are a Ampeg 410he and 15e. The 410 came with the vintage style grill cloth. I recovered the 15e to match the 410. Actually I recovered the 410 recently, the old cloth had been ripped to shreds from being dragged across the southeast for a couple of years.

Talking about tubes, this week I put all new tubes in my 40 year old v4b (it still had the original tubes in it). It smokes the SVT tone wise. My jaw was on the floor. Its about 80% as loud, which is enough for me. I guess my SVT needs new tubes. Maybe I'll win the lottery.

The Mesa PH412 isnt' that "big", it's just DEEP.

I had the full 412 w/ a Titan V12 at one point and it was just monstrous, but I like my M9+212 * 2 setup better. I usually only bring one cab but I use two during practice, with one facing the drummer and the other out towards the rest of the room. Then if/when I need both I can bring em. Throws like a mofo too. Eats an SVT up all day.

right now I have the M9 in our rack that everyone uses but cabs are the same! i just got some pedals back from being updated/modernized so i'll shoot a pic here soon of those.

I agree. The Mesa isn't nearly as tall as an Ampeg fridge, you can see in the picture I shot when I had both cabs. The Mesa stands about as tall with my Peavey Tour 700 on top of it as the Ampeg stands alone.

I'd love to have 2 identical cabs, and may in the future if I can find some good deals on used Mesa gear, but I love being able to just roll my cab with ease. I can tilt it easily and just slide it into basically any vehicle, it sure beats lifting two heavy cabs IMO, but the two cab rig is killer!

Killer looking rig! I used to have an 810e and it was a great cab. How do you like the SVT 4 pro? I also love your bass. So much Spector GAS in this thread..
