SPECTOR® Club - Part 21

Just a heads up to someone that might be selling a Euro Spector to fund the TB SE bass, I will be looking for another Euro 5 to go along with my Euro 5LX (either a Rebop or another LX) in the new year. Please PM me if you plan on selling your bass, I promise I'll take good care of it :hyper:

Rig and bass pics to come once I finally get to a computer, I can't post pics from my iPhone, it says my file size is too large.

Download the photo bucket APP. Upload pics there and then you can upload the pics. Also I find using the TB APP is more upload friendly for pics.

Okay, so I have been messing around with some video (trying to figure out video editing on my computer so I can put together my Spector Story finally...) and working on a couple of pieces, so I recorded myself playing a Bach piece and put it on my gallery page for you guys to check it out.

It's not perfect, there is a spot near the end I mess up, and the transition to where I use a double bass fingering with my thumb to reach the big gaps at the end needs to be smoother, but that will come with time and its a starting place for this piece for me.

It was a couple of weeks ago and I am in my classroom playing through a little keyboard amp, so it doesn't sound the greatest...

Let me know what you think-Chris.

Awesome! And thank you for working on your SPECTOR Story! I can't wait to see it.

That NS-4 is looking killer. I love your bass. You got a beautiful one for sure!

Hey Guys,
My new black cherry Euro 4LX came last week. Unbelievable! It must weigh a pound less than my last one and has even more flame on the front. Threaded screw inserts on the battery cover( I love that). I did my usual adjustments, tonepump down to about 50%, the neck was actually too straight. I had to put just a touch of relief in. Oh yeah I am psyched! This one will not get away! And if i told you the price I paid, you would beat me up.:D I haven't had a chance to take any photos of the new one but imagine this one( I stupidly sold it, anyone here have it? I sold it to a guy in Mass.) with even more flame, you get the idea...
Take Care,

Is that one from bass central?

That is great Chris! I like at about 13 seconds in, you just start looking around the room like "ho hum, I don't even need to look at the neck when playing this Bach piece." :)

Chris, that's great work, man. I have got to get kickstarted on a Bach study I have to help improve my chops and open up some more doors, non-pentatonically speaking....thanks for the inspiration to do so!

Chris,

That was amazing....loved it. :bassist:

Can't wait to see your story. Let me know if you need any help with the editing of the video.

I wish Spector made more solid color Euros and US made ones. I know you can custom order ones but still....I seems like they could be a bit cheeper because the wood grain doesn't have to be as pretty and the grain in the wings doesn't have to match perfectly. The fancy wood is beautiful but I'm not a fancy or beautiful player. Also, I like how a solid color NS shows of the curves of the bass. Just a thought.

+1!

Take Care,

Good for you! :bassist: I have the same model/color and love it! I have a perfect NS-2 that feels and sounds just a bit better perhaps but the Euro LX4 is an Extremely fine bass! Glad you love yours, I sure love mine!

Oh, and for what its worth, I have a great professional bass player I take lessons from. When I go to practice I dont even think of taking the NS-2. He owned a store many years and had his pick of basses. He and his partner sell extremely expensive old guitars and do large trade shows. He plays two Fodera's, a five and a four string on his jazz/blues performances and thinks my Euro is a great bass!

Here's a video of one of our songs from the memorial service for a brother guitar player that suddenly passed away last week. I'm playing my Legend 4 black cherry FM. Thanks to LimaGuy for the editing! :bassist: I hope you all enjoy even though it's not metal. ;)

Here's a picture of the MK Spector I'm getting this week. It really is a sleek looking machine.
