That's an odd looking Spector. Unless it's the Coda...

That was cool, Ice...

Hard to follow you with all that jumpin around and stuff.... You need to mellow out! :D
Yeh yeh yeh I'm a regular Mexican jumping bean...:hyper:Lol ;)

I'm really excited to hear your review on this bass
Me too!:hyper: Me too!:hyper:

very cool! I kept waiting for the bass solo tho :eyebrow:

Remember gentlemen this was a memorial service. :(

But I do have a feeling that once Ice gets his Forte he will be jumpin around alot and taking 2-3 bass solos per song. :hiding::bassist:

P.S. No more music stand for the guitar player it will end up getting knocked over from the Forte tone. :D ;)
Lol! Thanks Lima...I'll tell my rocking lead guitard,"No music Stand for You"! In my soup Nazi voice. :D I can't wait to feel and here that power emminating from the Forte 4! :bassist:
As for bass solos...going to have to knock off stage a couple guitards first! :rollno:
memorial services are for celebrating someone's life.... not to be sad (although hard) :D

I'm very sorry to hear of your friend's passing, it seemed he impacted a lot of people from the turnout in the video...
Thanks Worshiprocker! He was very much loved in our community. The building was full!
We did play some fast/rock songs...a couple one of my mates wrote about 30 years ago. When I get more vids from him I'll upload that one.
My wife didn't realize the camcorder didn't have a memory card until last two songs. Lol :ninja:

+1
And it was a great performance by you guys. I hope I get some cool tunes played at my memorial (which hopefully won't be for a long, long time) *crosses fingers*
Thank you cj! That makes two of us bro!:)

LOL! :D

LMAO!!! :D Very good pic! Lima so photogenic. :hiding: :D
Oops! I meant your Euro-4 looks really awesome!! :hyper:

I've owned three Spectors in the past. All of which were some of the best basses I've owned.

I like Spector basses. I'd like an all-maple Czechtor 4 at some point in the future. Some of my favorite basses of all time. The only quibble I had was the bridge saddles lacking intonation screws, but that was changed a couple years back, so now a Spector P/J 4-banger is on my shortlist. No need for club/group number; I don't roll with clubs. Just sayin', I dig me some Spector.

Awesome looking SPECTORS! Especially the NS-94 SSD!!:bassist:
Someday I might have another...I love the body shape!

Okay, so I have been messing around with some video (trying to figure out video editing on my computer so I can put together my Spector Story finally...) and working on a couple of pieces, so I recorded myself playing a Bach piece and put it on my gallery page for you guys to check it out.

It's not perfect, there is a spot near the end I mess up, and the transition to where I use a double bass fingering with my thumb to reach the big gaps at the end needs to be smoother, but that will come with time and its a starting place for this piece for me.

It was a couple of weeks ago and I am in my classroom playing through a little keyboard amp, so it doesn't sound the greatest...

Let me know what you think-Chris.

Are people reposting basses they have had in the first 20 threads? If so, why?
we like to post what we call "SPECTOR Porn" to get the thread going and...

We do it here because for some reason this thread http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/show-your-spector-170983/ (03/05 - 08-11 R.I.P.) ... died out. :(
edit; I just posted a couple pics to revive it! :D :hyper:

New Spector Day!!!!!!

Well... Not really. I got a Spector Comfort Strap in today. It's much nicer than the previous cheap Fender strap I've been using.

Congrats! how do you like it so far?

Congrats! how do you like it so far?

It's really comfortable, as soon as I put it on I could feel a big difference from the strap I was using before. I've never used another real nice strap so I can't really say how it compares, but it feels great to me (I'm younger and don't have back problems or anything though) who wouldn't want the double S on their shoulder?

One thing about it though is that the standard size is Extra Long, which might be too long for some people. I'm 6' and I can get it into my normal playing position (bass is pretty much at my hip, neck at an angle) with some adjusting. Any shorter than that and you might have some difficulty if you like the bass up high unless you order a smaller size.
