Here's a video of one of our songs from the memorial service for a brother guitar player that suddenly passed away last week. I'm playing my Legend 4 black cherry FM. Thanks to LimaGuy for the editing! :bassist: I hope you all enjoy even though it's not metal. ;)

That was cool, Ice...

Hard to follow you with all that jumpin around and stuff.... You need to mellow out! :D

Here's a picture of the MK Spector I'm getting this week. It really is a sleek looking machine.

I'm really excited to hear your review on this bass

very cool! I kept waiting for the bass solo tho :eyebrow:

Are people reposting basses they have had in the first 20 threads? If so, why?

at the beginning of every thread we traditional post our basses.... not everyone has been here the whole time or care to look through 20,000+ posts to see pics of basses :D

its just something fun we do... feel free to join in

Remember gentlemen this was a memorial service. :(

But I do have a feeling that once Ice gets his Forte he will be jumpin around alot and taking 2-3 bass solos per song. :hiding::bassist:

P.S. No more music stand for the guitar player it will end up getting knocked over from the Forte tone. :D ;)

memorial services are for celebrating someone's life.... not to be sad (although hard) :D

I'm very sorry to hear of your friend's passing, it seemed he impacted a lot of people from the turnout in the video...

it's helpful too. If someone wants to see a good representation of most finishes and exotic tops offered by Spector, the first couple of pages in each thread pretty well cover it. Keeps from searching 20 different threads or from getting the dreaded "did you search it?!?!?!?!" reply.

+1
And it was a great performance by you guys. I hope I get some cool tunes played at my memorial (which hopefully won't be for a long, long time) *crosses fingers*

I like to see everyone's basses not a few peoples over and over again

Besides, my bass is burried about 10 clubs ago. Wouldn't be to hard to find but some people insist on posting and reposting and....

I understand where you're coming from....the good news is, the pictures are posted fairly quick, and then it's over with. Might cover a page or two, then that's it.

Okay, so I have been messing around with some video (trying to figure out video editing on my computer so I can put together my Spector Story finally...) and working on a couple of pieces, so I recorded myself playing a Bach piece and put it on my gallery page for you guys to check it out.

It's not perfect, there is a spot near the end I mess up, and the transition to where I use a double bass fingering with my thumb to reach the big gaps at the end needs to be smoother, but that will come with time and its a starting place for this piece for me.

It was a couple of weeks ago and I am in my classroom playing through a little keyboard amp, so it doesn't sound the greatest...

Let me know what you think-Chris.

WOW!!! Chris, that was really really beautiful!!! I love it! Great job!!!

I've owned three Spectors in the past. All of which were some of the best basses I've owned.

I like Spector basses. I'd like an all-maple Czechtor 4 at some point in the future. Some of my favorite basses of all time. The only quibble I had was the bridge saddles lacking intonation screws, but that was changed a couple years back, so now a Spector P/J 4-banger is on my shortlist. No need for club/group number; I don't roll with clubs. Just sayin', I dig me some Spector.

Nice! That does look sleek. Congrats!:bassist:

Thanks, that one worked.

That's awesome, Ice.
I imagine you used your PF500 for this gig? Looks like a lot of fun!

Thank you Carlos! Nope, I didn't use my Ampeg rig unfortunately...:ninja: They had an Acoustic 115 rig setup for all the bands to use. We only played one set. But yes, it was an honor and a lot of fun to play for a state legend musician. Hope he was looking on with a smile all day!:bassist:
