Ya know...that might be a really great idea! Let's sell it to Todd. I know that I'm tapped right now with buying 2 Fortes and Christmas and my wife's birthday Jan. 2nd. I'll need more time too. If I'd known about this before I ordered my 2nd Forte...

I think that's more him trying to get the orders in asap. We don't want the thing dragging out till june. I'm with you having 3 birthdays around xmas, and a recent family emergency has me pretty much tapped until mid / end Jan. But I think I will be ordering a blue 5 string all the same. The 3 payment thing helps quite a bit.

Bear in mind that he is breaking up the payment into three installments. And there will be a 4-5 month build time.

I can understand the desire to put it off, but adding another month really piles on to the wait time *

Some of us don't have the unlimited funds like you seem to though Guy lol. One month isn't much. Besides we need the deposits or the whole thing won't happen. If it takes till Feb so be it I think , If its what we have to do to get'er done. Not like were talking about $500 instruments either.

I know, for me, I always get a large refund at tax time, which is how I'm going to have to talk the Wife into letting me do this. It wouldn't hurt me either to wait a month or so until I have my refund (usually late Jan. or early Feb. electronically) actually in hand. I know some don't get their refunds that early. Just a thought.

Guy's funny. He'll be getting the first one and he still can't wait.

As we are on sound clip mode.
Last night I recorded a comparison of my Forte recorded Direct vs. mic'd through my Peavey Mark IV w/ 4X10 cab.

Which do you prefer?

I like the first one direct! Much fuller tone! More growl coming thru!

I can't wait! I bought an Ampeg SVT-212e ($216) and a vintage (earliest model) Ampeg SVT-III Pro ($340)! I'm finally going to have a real amp to play with my Spector!! :D
Congratulations Gangsta!!!! Welcome to the undark side! You'll want nothing else after playing on Ampeg!

Don't need to tell me about wait time...I've been waiting 2 months over on my Forte 4. Lol Besides, There won't be a lot of building going on till after NAMM is over next month. :ninja:

Yeah I know...1.) Get the orders in quickly and get these built as quickly as possible, 2.) That's a sales tactic too. :D But they need to realize the expensive season everybody just went thru too. Maybe after I find out what my tax return will be I'll be able to order one. OR...
Here's the unthinkable for me...:eek:Sell my not yet delivered Forte 4 to finance the LE. :rollno::help:

I don't have unlimited funds. Trust me, I'm taking advantage of the "payment plan".

Here's the problem with these types of things. You can add months to the wait to try to get additional buyers, but then original buyers either get tired of waiting, have financial problems of their own, or just lose the desire. Then orders start dropping off. It's a delicate balance, but dragging it out doesn't necessarily solve any problems.

Todd needs at least 10 orders in order to move forward. If he gets that during January, then I'm sure those people will want the deal to move forward on schedule.

+1! That's what I'm talking about! :p

Nope. I'll be getting #1, but I'll be getting it the same time as everyone else. If it goes the way Todd has specified, all instruments will be shipped at the same time, since they apparently won't necessarily be built in order. So, if he starts adding month to the preorder period, everyone who orders in the first 30 days has to wait those additional months. Of course, if that changes, then I could care less how long he holds out for the stragglers.

Please bear in mind that Todd is now sitting on almost $900 of my money (and others, I'm sure). And, unlike Grendle's assumptions, I don't have unlimited funds, but I'm making this work. I'm willing to be patient, but that has limits.

This. I'm waiting to place my order until monday, just to give myself some time to mull over my color choice. Currently 75% sure I want green though...

I am currently suffering from New Amp GAS.
I am looking for something powerful but light weight.

I was looking at the GK MB210 Combo

but I also just became very interested in the Ampeg SVT210AV & Micro Head
Ampeg: Classic Series -MICRO-VR Stack

Has anyone had personal experience with either one of these or have different suggestion?

Needs to light weight since I shouldnt be lifting anything too heavy.

I'm getting a SL112 cab to use at home with my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500... It was light weight awesomeness when I tried the combo.

I'd recommend the Promethean 1x10 combo. Stacks of volume for its size and great features.
