SPECTOR® Club - Part 23

Man, you guys posting your effects are making me regret that I sold my Line6 M13. I think I need to look into picking it up again since it had so many different effects on board. Maybe I will look into an M9 this time though since it is not as big but has pretty much everything the M13 has.

I was able to nail Justin's tone in Schism with the M13 and an expression pedal plugged into it for the middle part when he uses the Whammy pedal. That Whammy he uses is no longer made and the setting for Schism is supposedly not on the newer models so having the M13 really made it work since all of the parameters can be adjusted.

You've been making me think about getting a whammy for a while now:D
I need a bigger pedal board.........:hyper:

Came home early from work because my wife called and said it was here. My new Spector Euro 5LX in Poplar Burl.

I love this thing! After I get it set up with a new set of DR High Beams I think this'll be my new main bass. Can't believe I waited this long to get a Spector! I like the case too. Nice tight fit.

I'll get some real glamor shots when I have the time.

I have an m9 I'm selling :)

You are right. It has a great whammy amongst other effects. My problem was I only used about 4 effects on it. Really I only used chorus, whammy, and octave effects. It's a great unit though!

I'll try to take some video at practice this week. Hopefully I'll have my new whammy effect dialed in by then.

Time to try and finish swapping my Tonepump after dinner....
Wish me luck...
LimaGuy you might be getting a call :)

That bass looks amazing!

Ok...this is an extremely rough mix! The bass tones will be different most likely as well. This will be one of the songs on my D20 project's album when it is finished. There are a few parts i haven't tracked bass for yet as well. Hope it comes across ok though. :)

Wow! Throaty and growly!! Sounded like the king Bass of the jungle to me! That tone is totally amazing! :bassist:

I got my Project NS-2A today. It missed the morning delivery truck this morning so crazy me went to the main post office to pick it up.

I installed active EMG PUPs with the Haz copy and it sounds really growly (I will post clips later)

The Frets are not as bad I thought they would be.

The only negative for this whole thing is now I dont know if I want to de-fret it. :hiding:

Here are some photos as I was fixing her up.

Just out of the box

NICE!!!! Well, I say leave it be for a while, if you still feel you want a fretless, go for it!
Or, you could always re-fret it again in the future no...?

SOUND CLIPS!!!!!!!!:bassist::bassist::bassist:

Thanks guys! I can tell I'm gonna have to open her up and back off on the tone pump though. So I can match my other axes. But damn.... Sweet tone! I'll have my guy go over the neck and bridge and set it up the way I like it. Got a little buzzing on the E and B strings.

The Tonepump usually sounds best between 50%-70%.
