I'm having surgery on my knee this morning at around 10. So I'll be out most of the day. But I plan on laying around by the computer and working on websites this weekend.

Good luck Patrick! Praying for you! :bassist:

Going back and forth about a new bass, Spector or maybe not...
:help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help:

One of the basses on my "Bucket Bass List", those basses I want to own someday has come up for sale and now I am going back and forth...

Gosh, I wonder what advice you guys would give me....
;)

lol it's all good, I have a few non Spectors on the bucket list as well, nothing wrong with that. Different flavors for different things. A B-quad, a Surine and a few others are on mine.

I have been saving for another Spector, But I found a 6 string MTD in the wood combo/color I would get if I were to get one used, at a good price in great condition, just has me wondering what to do. I have to wait a couple of days for the Tax money to come back, so maybe it will sell before I have the $$ and I will be back to saving for another Spector.

Maybe one of those "Carlton Armstrong" signature basses, those are really awesome looking.

in a 6 string....

Or a Forte 6 string....

or wait and save a little longer for a NS-6xl....

That's not different, that is kind of a "Signature model", Mr. Carlton Armstrong, and unless I am wrong this is #4, Right? They are awesome looking basses, that is for sure!!

Actually it's still 3.I had some work done on it, including a refin of the red matte to gloss.I didn't know how big a difference the gloss made to the tone, now that I do,I had to do it.I'm trying to make all three basses "feel" as close as possible.Being that they're hand made, they where a little different. So I needed made make some adjustments.I think all the specs on this one should be right.Once I get the red one back, the black one goes back! It's been a long time getting these basses together,I'm 2/3 done!

Man, makes me want to get a new bass bad...

You got some tough choices!I'd go Spector 6XL. Get your dream bass the way YOU want it!

9 volt is the way to go bro!!

So this might be a dumb question, we heard when we were going back and forth about the LE bass how expensive the Spector Inlays are, if you want a bass without them, is the price discounted?

Here's my problem. I like the look of the Forte, but I really like the gloss option, but on a 6 string I would like to have no inlays....

questions...questions...questions...

I think you are right though, Always been a Spector guy, a 6XL done "My Way" would be really Awesome.

Discount?Ha!It was a problem I had when I wanted one inlay. They charged me more for less! The gloss price would put a Forte in the XL price point (maybe 2 or 3 hundred bucks and they won't gloss a Forte) if your that close, you may as well spend the money and have them do the things to a XL that they won't do on a Forte.Like pick up options, wood choice, color, inlays and preamp to name a few.I had many things done on my bass that you can and can't see. :)
