Wow that blue/black one looks REALLY nice! That an NS 5XL?

EDIT: lol you already said it's a NS-5XL, silly me.

3 USA Brooklyn Era (#645, #711, #1180). Two of them are black (rare dot inlays for both/BADASS bridges/ one with toggle switches) while also having the coveted 80's white Spector we saw in numerous music videos (Police, Queensryche, Skid Row, Alice In Chains etc). I also own a natural flame maple USA NS-20 from 88/89 and 4 Stuart Spector Design basses from the mid 90's (Black/Blue Burst, Black Cherry Burst, Amber, and a early Black 5 string with a "clean" headstock/no serial#). Lastly I have a Euro LX4 (Blood Red) that looks as good as it sounds. \m/

No family picture yet as I'm awaiting recently purchased SSD "Amber" to arrive. And the Black Cherry SSD is getting a new HazLab installed (like all my SPECTORS). Hopefully something soon though! :)

It actually used to belong to the bass player of the band ULTRASPANK. My current drummer is also the original member of that band. Dan (the bass player) decided to sell off a bunch of his stuff and I was lucky enough to grab it. Ironically it was airbrushed by my other bandmates former girlfriend. I actually didn't notice it until I purchased the bass. Here is a link to some of her stuff:

ALL gear is subject to fail. Weak argument. Great rigs never are outdated. Why are so many companies going tube in atleast the pre as a minimum, like Ampeg, the older all tube heads are the most expensive for a reason. Playing is always about using good technique. Another weak argument. [/QUOTE]

I set my amp up based on the gig I'm playing at and the venue. Once it set, I do everything else via technique or the onboard preamp (if it has one). I typically don't touch my amp during a show unless I absolutely have to.[/QUOTE]
Annnnd I setup my Amp and bass during my daily practice all week prior to a gig, the way I want it to sound, soooo....Still...technique is what's learned since the beginning of learning to play bass and is a life time aquirement of learning new techniques. WEAK!:ninja::rolleyes:

78.9% is a long ways from 90%...
TB is a far cry from the "Entire Planet". :p

Iceboxbass is actually a good dude who has helped me out on multiple occasions.... He's just passionate about his strings. Can't fault him for that. So let's all just agree to disagree and get back to talking about spectors and tone pumps and slanted bridge designs that we do love to talk about.

Matter of factly...I send my strings that I want on my basses to the Woodstock, NY Spector shop to be installed. I'm tired of collecting a pile of cheap rounds. Rounds for anyone wanting to pay shipping cost! I'd give away to my friends here but they all use flats too.

I don't like flatwounds, but I am glad that they work for you.
