JPS maybe you can chime in on this, I asked Todd but he was not familiar with the Korean import models, said you might know:

Is there a hardshell case for any of the neck-through korean basses? NS20004/NS20005, NS-94/NS-95,
(NS-2A probably fits in an NS-2 case I would guess)

I currently have my NS20004 in a molded P-bass case, and it hold the bass pretty well especially along the neck, but the body sometimes shifts around. The case is pretty ragged though, and I'd love to have a real spector case that fits it tightly (not like one of those open-box types that fits any bass, but loosely)

So did Spector make a case for these or is there a way to order one?
I like the Spector hard cases I've seen members posting but no clue if mine would fit.

Hey guys! Sorry to break in like this. Working on installing active EMG's and Tonepump with trim in my NS2A and I'm having a problem. Everything is in and hooked up but the bass is emitting a very diminished, farty signal. Any input from you all would be great. Thank you!!

Si. The neck, as it was, was a little too chunky for my small hand. The profile was changed to more of a "D" shape. Originally it was a very pronounced "C" shape. A bit baseball bat like. I know something like this can be very subjective, so I am very happy that Donny likes it.

I'm no expert.... Have any cold solders? What do you mean by "farty"

A pic of the wiring may help also

Does it happen with the front and bridge pickup by themselves or does it happen only when they are both up at the same time?

I don't believe they ever made a "special" case for them, They wont fit in a std ns2 style case either ( molded for the body). Mine has what looks to be the original case (same as the original NS2A cases I have had). I'll have to look and see who made it. It's a good case, it's old school though, no injection molding. I have a pretty decent generic Gator case (skb type) that it fits in nicely as well. Cost $75 at sam ash I believe.

It sounds bad. I'm not sure how to explain. Not the full output and the range of tones are in the fart family.

I GOT IT. I have a beautiful NS20005 on its way to me. I had NO IDEA the Korean models came in this gorgeous color!!

Here is a pic from the sale, I hate black "sunburst" for its abrupt transition from black to orange, but this is a red to yellow burst with a nice smooth transition and just looks...awesome. :hyper:

We checked over and over and even replaced the jack, still nothing. I hate to even suggest this, but is it possible that the Tonepump is bad? Has anyone ever experienced something like that?

This was his third night working on it. He had me come over just to try and talk things out. I have a bad feeling it's the Tonepump. I do appreciate all of your suggestions and am open to others as well. Thanks!
