The TW quick connects are not the same or compatable with the other EMG soapbars due to the coil switching wiring needed.

The CS's, DC's and soapbar P's and J's all use the same quick connect cable. The TW's do not.
To switch out your TW's you will need new quick connects and new non-push/pull 25k ohm volume pots.

PJ and I talked a little while ago and he told me that the ARC6 I ordered last fall will be ready in Mid to Late March.

My Birthday is March 22nd... so that's going to be a killer B-Day present if I get it around that time.

Can't wait!!!

It'll look like the attached image. Which is a PhotoShop mock up I did of it. And yes, to my knowledge it WILL have the crown inlays and be the first ARC6 to have them. :D

There is something about an old bass that feels right. At some point, the wood they are made from begins to realize its not a tree and but its really a bass...maybe after 20 years or so. Me personally, I like a bass thats been played for a while. New ones just don't feel right in my hands. I'm sure after 30+ years the spector guys have learned some things and have made many improvements. But I also believe there are many things they got right early on.

You guys with the new 5K Spectors enjoy. You have a work of art and it will only get better over the years. When I get tired of my NS2As, maybe I'll find a nice brooklyn era, Kramer ns2 or NS2o. Maybe 20 years from now I'll buy the Black Pearl....or Greenie....or the Icebox Forte....or the Lima Forte...or the Pele Forte....Nicksun bass....

I kept everything stock when I ordered it so I have the OBP2. The 35PJ set I put in about 2 months later. Sorry man, I don't have any clips. I've only used it live.
As for comparing the DCs & the PJs, I felt that the DCs were a little compressed sounding. The PJs, although not as loud, just have more of what I want tonally. I may throw the DCs back in and hook up a makeshift 18v harness and see how they sound, but I'm sure, ultimately, I'll stick with the PJ's.

On my original response to Buckeroo, sorry guys, I missed the TW part. My mistake.

I love the OBP-3. Has a great sound and its pretty flexible. I can't compare it to a dual Ray. My old SR5 was a single H. Didn't sound near as huge as this bass. I don't usually run the Spector as a single H. It sounds good that way but when running it as a dual it is absolutely massive! I like how it sounds when the pups are split in single mode as well. Not near as loud but it does have a nice sound.

super smooth and fast.... somewhere between the ns2a and the JAR... closer to the ns2a... although the neck was reshaped at some point. It is very comfortable

I feel the same way. Sometimes. Depends on the bass I guess. I got my Rebop used, and I don't want to change anything on it. It feels just right. I got it two years ago, it's my go-to bass - and I think I got it before the Spector bass market started to get a bit crazy. I got it for $500. Now, IF I were to sell it - which I won't - I'm thinking closer to $800 since it's in great shape. Who knows? lol

The Forte - I can't get over how solid it feels. It balances so well, sounds great and plays so easily and I haven't done a setup - unless JPS did a setup for the NAMM show - my guess is it came straight from NY this way. The neck is similar to the NS-2A, maybe just a bit beefier - and slightly heavier.

Next year, when I have money (LOL), I'll try and find a white NS-2A. :D

Si. The neck, as it was, was a little too chunky for my small hand. The profile was changed to more of a "D" shape. Originally it was a very pronounced "C" shape. A bit baseball bat like. I know something like this can be very subjective, so I am very happy that Donny likes it.
