Well done Patrick! I see myself spending a lot of time there very soon! Lots of info.

I went to the tech pointers page first. I read the suggestion regarding truss rod adjustment. I learned I should loosen the strings first, I haven't been doing this.

One thing to add....I agree about not leaving your bass plugged in because it drains the battery. Another reason not to is when people stumble over the cord and pull the bass down. I was in the studio this weekend and somebody tripped over the bass cord and a nice Warwick fell off the stand. It wasn't damaged, but it was a close call. Usually it will be a drummer that will trip over a cord and cause problems.

Server just went down. Network Solutions has a dead router it looks like. On tech support phone call. Trying to get estimate of when it'll be back up.
