Non Spector related...I just found some photos of my buddy Byron and his CRAZY rig. For all you Ampeg lovers out there:

Yep, that's TWO SVT 4-Pro's and TWO SVT 2-Pros driving FOUR 810 cabs! HAHA! Crazy. There's also 2 SVP tube pre-amps with a Mesa power amp in there! :D
John had a good point: You need all that power to get volume out of a Fender :P :D

That is frickin to die for man...you lucky dog you!
Thank you Kit!
Sweet! Check out the flame!!

Nice Forte 5 Ice!

:bassist:
Thank you pele! I keep staring at her in disbelief. LOL Nothing this nice comes my way ever!
"she's a killer queen...":bassist:
Thank you Sum! The sound matches the killer looks even more so! Going to try a recording this week, using my new iPad with some apps I've downloaded. See if I can attain and capture her true essence.
One mistake that I made when recording my Spector story was having the volume too loud and my wood pellet stove running 10 feet away. LOL Ended up too distorted. Bummer! :atoz: :hmm::rollno:

I could be wrong, but aren't those Billy Sheehan preamps? I always heard that is what Christian used for distortion. Either way...SICK RIG!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that could make it better would be a Spector bass :)

Ampeg FTW!!! :)

Haha! That's what I tease him about all the time. But man he loves his Fenders. I try to get him to play my Spectors, he likes them, but he says it's just not his "thing"....One day I shall convert him. He hasn't heard my NS-2 yet...maybe that will make him a believer! :D

that is a SICK rig!!! I just got confirmation that my SVP-PRO has been delivered!

...I'm so excited, I might have to leave work early today... :hiding:

Ah fake an injury or something. "I seem to have sprained my Spectorial Rockignator tendon" Only we will know :hiding:
I wish you luck on that pre. I had one for only a short while due to excessive noise in the unit. There are others who seem to have corrected the issue though. Check out the amps forum.
Take Care,
Brent

Me Too, what the heck? Weird...

Me 3, I have to link directly to the "my talkbass" page, and some links to threads redirect me to the main page, INCLUDING the ones in my sig, I can't even get to my for sale threads to bump them :scowl:

edit: searching is broken for me as well, I search for a thread, find it, click it, it redirects to the main page. Only time I can get into a thread is by clicking a page number instead of the main link, but if a thread is only on its first page (like my for-sale threads) I cannot get to them. I hope they fix this soon.

None of the links are working correctly for Talkbass on my Internet Explorer.

Every link keeps going back tot he main page.

I tried clearing the cache and the reboot. Still not working.

I am using Firefox now.

just ordered a haz copy pre for my crfm coming tommorow!! Im kinda excited as I will mod this bass without even knowing what kinda pre is in it.
the guy i bought it from said its all original and made in 1999 but he thinks its a tone pump pre...
